Megalodon Captured on Film
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=cc3_1191736580
The Megalodon, Carcharodon or Carcharocles Megalodon (pronounced /ˈmɛɡələdɒn/ MEG-ə-lə-don, "big tooth" in Greek, from μέγας and ὀδούς) is an extinct mega-toothed shark that existed in prehistoric times, from the Oligocene to Pleistocene epochs, approximately 25 to 1.5 million years ago. Megalodon may have been the largest and most powerful macro-predatory fish that ever lived. Fossil remains of Megalodon indicate that it possibly approached a maximum of around 20.3 metres (67 ft) in length. Megalodon has been assigned to the order Lamniformes but its phylogeny is disputed. Scientists suggest that Megalodon looked like a stockier version of the great white shark, Carcharodon carcharias, in life. Fossil evidence confirms that Megalodon had a cosmopolitan distribution. Megalodon was a super-predator.

Hopefully it tastes better than whale.
I hate whale meat. My mother fed me up on whale when I was a kid. Never again.

Can you imagine the size of this fucker? 65 feet long! That's pretty well like a Great White Shark the size of a six-story building! This thing could literally swallow an entire boat 15 or 20 feet in length... people on it and all.

The oceans beasts are waking up, frozen in deep sea trenches since the last iceage for millions of years (yes underwater somehow). Now that global warming has consumed our planet in it's fiery rage, the creatures are now unleashed.
Don't go diving in japan this summer lol
especially not with dead squid attached to your wet suit. You'll see some scary shit.

Not really. For that to happen, the bug's breathing tubes would have to be enormously over-sized to accommodate the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere.
In reality, the only real, for lack of a better term, "gigantic" animals are those that are underwater.

Also, the one in the video probably wasn't 20 meters. 20 meters would be very large even for a Megalodon, and that picture is an artists portrayal of a megalodon. No way can you use it as a size comparison. It even looks like it's over 30 meters or something.
average megalodon was probably like 16 meters, and could swallow us whole, but I doubt it would try to eat a fucking ship that would probably choke it to death if it tried to eat it, seeing as you can't really chew and break up metal very easily, even if you are a megalodon. Do some damage, fuck yes. But eat it? naw it would taste bad and after a devistating bite that would probably sink the ship, he would leave it alone.
They probably don't even come close enough to the surface for that shit anyway.

no, the proportions of bug anatomy didn't need to change because the atmosphere was much more dense and rich in oxygen during the jurassic time which allowed them to grow much larger without needing lungs. Once it thinned out then bugs became smaller

the oceans are fucking huge and it's very likely that some species we once thought were extinct we just actually couldn't see. we don't really know much about what goes on in the deep oceans
and the video didn't show the man next to the shark. it was likely caught on a camera that had been running for days or weeks to look at the sea life. it's hard for humans to get close to them because they scare off easily, even the bigass ones

Re: Megalodon Captured on Film
The Loch Ness "monster" has already been filmed clearly on numerous occasions. Loch Ness is extremely deep in some parts, and I believe these creatures were able to dive down deep when the volcanoes erupted at the time of the Flood and possibly resurfaced in an underwater tunnel which led to an air cavity deep under the Earth's crust. Same with these super-predators... they're really tough... and they were able to dive deep enough away from the brunt of the holocaust to escape the total extinction of their land cousins. Water can protect from natural disasters if the area of safety is deep enough.

Nah. The Greenland Shark has been found to be able to attain a maximum size of 7.3 m in length, but the scale on the various items in the video show this particular creature to be at least 20 m in size... three times bigger than a Greenland Shark.

Re: Megalodon Captured on Film
Megalodon are thought to have been extremely similar to the modern great white, the main difference being the size. Perhaps they are still around but have evolved to be much smaller.

The largest animal to have ever existed - from prehistoric times on up - is the blue whale.
Quite interesting, since one tends to think of the megalodons and Apatosauri as the biggest animals.

pause the video at around 00:46 and compare the two images. look at the gill slits and the position of the mouth.
the gill slits on a megalodon would have been much bigger along with a larger jaw
