i've been meaning to upgrade forever, this looks pretty slick, and i'm liking built in speakers to save even more room (and free up a usb port) video card can handle it no problem, since i just upgraded that.

Any downsides to it that i'm not seeing?

Ugghhh, I loathe built in speakers to monitors. They usually make a good monitor look tacky and sound like utter crap ruining almost anything with sound. However if price is of concern and nailing two birds with one stone then it's not such a bad deal. I can't really see the speakers built-in from the screen shots so that's a major plus. Not to mention Hanns-G makes it, basically they're a luxury (overpriced) manufacturer so at least you'll have some kind of bragging rights.

25" buy two while you're at it, fuck it. You're saving roughly $70 on that thing so it's practically buy one at original full retail price and get a second for 75% off. Cheaper than my Asus 23" monitors were 2 years ago :-\

Looks decent - the Hanns monitors I've seen inside use good quality LG panels, although the internal power supply runs very hot. Make sure it's got good ventilation or the capacitors die and solder joints loosen.

picked it up today and i want to have it's children.

i'm unfortunately stuck vga to vga at the moment, graphics card has two hdmi and a vga, but monitor has no hdmi. (vga and dvi only)

radio shack tomorrow to pick up an hdmi to dvi for this baby, and vga to vga for the old crt, and i'll be styling with my new command center.

wow AND porn. Oh what a world!

it's just fucking amazing, like a whole different world compared to the old crt. i don't know what to do with all the screen real estate.
