I want to be a kiddie fiddler

I was thinking about this the other day, and I think it would be best to go to hospitals or children's parties where there are a lot of kids around. Hospitals might be better because the kids would be more desperate for entertainment, whereas at a party it might be so chaotic that no one even notices you.

Then again, the kids at the hospital might be depressing, so it would be kind of hard to get in the mood. Plus the violin can kind of be a sad instrument at times. I guess I'd just play happy stuff like Pop Goes the Weaseal.

Any ideas for ways I can be a better kiddie fiddler?

I wouldn't worry about being a downer at the hospital, yes the violin can be a sad instrument but it can also be very energetic. Take Aaron Copland's Rodeo for example.

So I'd say just fiddle hard and fast.
