I hate battlefield games and I hate EA. That trailer is pretty damn retarded too, as are those faggot "developers". Instead of putting 10 year old games, that sucked then no less, they should focus on making something new. Like going out of business for instance.

No it doesn't. Flashpoint is fun as hell. The graphics are rather poor but it's still a super fun game. Battlefield was a watered down arcadish WWII knockoff of Operation Flashpoint. It didn't even have a decent single player.

You're tripping. Now ARMA is fun as hell and easily blows away the battlefield series but Flashpoint sucked and they were both in development at about the same time.

I agree about the single player but it's undeniably a multiplayer game.

I don't think you've ever seriously played Operation Flashpoint. Playing the insanely huge map with two people probably does suck balls. Get more people together if you want to multiplayer.

I admit I didn't play it for too long but I have played it. I liked the idea of the game just as I liked WWII online but the controls were clearly made by someone with 3 hands.

What's wrong with the controls? You mean on foot or in a vehicle? On foot the game is just like any other shooter. Some vehicles needed getting used to though. They were however far more advanced than BF1942's, which had a super arcadish feel to them.

See that's where I disagree. I liked BF1942's dumbed down controls.
I don't want to play a fucking flight simulator. I want to have mindless fun. That's what a game is about. I don't want to have to read a fucking manual. I want to get into the game, hop in a plane, and wreak havoc. There is nothing wrong with that. I don't want to have to find 2 other people to control my fucking tank. I want to drive and shoot.

Like in Arma. You can fly by yourself okay, controls still suck in that department but not that bad and you can run infantry to your hearts content. But if you want to run a chain of tanks through an enemy city you gotta either rely on crappy AI or get your whole team into it. It blows in that respect.
