this is one of the greatest bands ever i think. Their music is so tricky and complex, but it's incredibly good sounding and definitely original. every single part is really cool, and they play all these cool things that only they could think of. for example the sax has a certain style and the drummer is so him. there is no other drummer who does the kinds of tricks he does. idk i just think these songs are awesome.

his first three albums actually aren't that bad but the band sold out hardcore. plus coran capshaw is a fucking cocksucker. Their sax player (jeff coffin) is fucking sick nasty though.

That's surprising because here it's all the idiots who still wear tye-dye clothing and hemp jewelery. They also just refer to the entire band as "Dave"

I've never actually heard anything by these guys that I'm aware of, would a greatest hits be a good place to start or is there a particularly good album to check out?

that's not the dave mathews band i'm a fan of...There's no fancy drum tricks or like the sound of 5 instruments all doing their own thing, but still working together.

meh, he was a'ight. Jeff coffin is pretty much the shit. Hands down he is the most talented member of that band.
plus he's not dumb enough to go against doctor's recommendations and kill himself. Leroi moore would have made a full recovery but he went against what his doctor had warned and flew to LA for rehab. As a result of his punctured lung his lungs filled with fluid from the cabin pressure and had to be carried off the plane in a stretcher. then he died.
