Do Doctors/Nurses Call Right Away With Bad Test Results?
Do Doctors/Nurses call right away when your test results come out bad?
I've been waiting on my blood work for STD testing and its been nine days (last Mon), my pap smear already came in today and they told me I have hpv (fuck), and the doctor had told me the blood test should come within about a week when I saw him last Mon.
Its driving me nuts thinking I have aids/hiv and I can't concentrate on anything. I've been eating my stress out, my period delayed two weeks because of the stress, and I can't concentrate with college work or anything. I've researched like crazy and for most people the blood tests seem to take only a few days, a week at most. Maybe I'm negative and they feel that they don't have to call me right away? Sorry for asking what seems like such a dumb question, I just don't know what to do anymore.

Thanks man, yeah I know it's my own fault for stressing and getting myself in this situation in the first place. My friends say I shouldn't worry so much, but I can't help the paranoia. Sorry for sounding like a whiner. Just wondered about the reality time for blood testing for things like this.
