Default Do you support democracy in the middle east? If so, you support your own extinction

Lately I've been noticing a bunch of people on here supporting the protesters in the middle east/north Africa. These people apparently do not realize that they are suicidal. Look at what's happening to the price of food and fuel in our nations. The prices are soaring. Experts are predicting that the price of gasoline in America will reach five dollars a gallon before the summer of 2011. Yes, 2011. In areas like Commiefornia the price will surpass six dollars. The economy cannot handle these kinds of prices. It is going to fucking implode.

I'm willing to bet that your dumb ass will not realize the consequences of this "democracy" bullshit until it is too late. Only when you are being forced to your knees at gunpoint by a pack of thugs will you realize just how fucking stupid you are. It will take nothing short of total chaos for you to wake up. I bet you aren't even paying attention to what I am saying right now, you are probably sitting there with that dumbass look on your face and a waterfall of drool raining down from your shit encrusted lips.

Lol, I'd noticed a while back that the BBC were comparing the Muslim Brotherhood (set up and run by MI6) and CIA inspired unrest in Egypt to the equivalent of the Russians freeing themselves from the Communists.

MI6 have direct links with Islamists from the Muslim Brotherhood and other groups; they're working in a similar way as the CIA and Al Qaeda did in Iraq and Afghanistan.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haroon_Rashid_Aswat

Mubarak was an Egyptian nationalist who fought and repressed the Muslim Brotherhood for the good of the nation and this is why he is not supported in the leftist media and the protesters (who aren't exactly the most peaceful) are. Funny how protests are good if it's in Egypt or the Middle East, yet if it's in any Western country and they're not leftists or anti-fascists then the protestors get called thugs or extremists, even if they're not. The facts actually are that there're far more arrests at any eco-protest group demonstration, "anti-fa" demonstration, university students demonstration, and animal rights protestors demonstration.

That's what Egypt was. That was about the best that could be hoped for with such a country, realistically speaking.

I'm not sure the non-Muslim world wants what it might become. I guess we'll see how all this drama among all these countries plays out, but I don't think the Western world is gonna like it years from now.

We will see, that's for sure.

Thumbs Up Re: Do you support democracy in the middle east? If so, you support your own extincti

I don't really support government, or at least any kind previously attempted anywhere. Why? For the simple reason that every single previous government has failed. And the current ones are seemingly doomed to fail soon as well.

There's no need for government if it's just going to die sometime anyway.

It's like keeping a woman on life support long after her husband and family are dead. Sure, you can do it. But is there really a point?

The best aspect of any government, IMO, is to be a vehicle to allow the people to succeed. By that measure, there are indeed some governments which have succeeded wildly over others.

People looking for a government to succeed, instead of the people themselves, are people who are doomed to repeat history.

Nothing that's happening in the Middle East or Northern Africa right now has to do with people succeeding, it's about a new government succeeding. And one of two things are likely to happen, I think:

-Things will basically stay the same under new leadership.

-Things will basically get worse under new leadership.

I would like to be optimistic, but considering the types of people looking to take over power, the future ain't looking good for anybody concerning these current events.

Well i wouldn't say the best aspect but it certainly is an ideal . I mean introducting democracy to a country cant be an easy task as for anybody to make informed decisions about their government you would need a kind of structure of aproval , or qualifications to some degree...

I mean there is good argument for democratic takeover but look at russia... i think people have learned a lot from the undemocratic way of dismantling other forms of governing . It is almost a ritual humiliation to have to US plod on over and take away what has been in power for god knows how long. whether that be good or bad i think that democracy is sold as an all encompassing theory on governing but in these evolved times surely democracy cant be sacred ? ...

Its flawed as most other forms of government are and i think people need to address this before belting out pro democracy slogans without knowledge to the full extent of the damages that it creates. Democracy damages indigenous culture and cannot accurately allow a people to cultivate a multicultural society without predjudice. However it gives the people a vote a say in matters no matter how small the say is at least its a foot in the door and one step away from the dictatorships previously known.

so yeah ... swings and roundabouts i guess...
