Default Best monitor for $150

Well my old POS just shat the bed, and I need a new one. Looking for a widescreen LCD. No preference, just a quality, clear monitor that won't break on me in a year like this one did.

EDIT: The bigger the better.

I paid $146.99 for my 23" 1080p monitor from Newegg.

^That's not the same modal as I currently own, but the same company (Acer). If you ask me, a 23" is as good as you're going to get for $150 unless you buy used.

If you're not concerned about size and weight, a used professional CRT monitor will wipe the floor with any LCD under $150 in terms of image quality. They're getting a bit thin on the ground now, but you can probably get a good one for $20 or less from an IT clearance company.

Something like a big 21" Ilyima, Mitsubishi or Sony designed for graphics work will last for years and years. About ten years ago, when CRT technology was at its best, they were very expensive...$1000 or so. Absolute bargain IMO, as most people nowadays are concerned with having a slim LCD with shit image quality.
