now i'm trying to regain my fitness... I can jumprope at speed for 30 minutes though hahha...

When I was a kid I was very good at running. I retain decent ability with no training but lately, two years since I went for a run, my ankles and foot posture have got a bit fucked, probably from cycling loads and never running. I'll have to loosen that out about.

Running ability is probably by far the most important and useful item of fitness, really.

But I do agree that running is damn important. When you look at people who can run 20 miles, 50 miles, 100 miles, you think that if they can do it, a lot of other people can also do it. Sure, maybe you won't run the marathon faster than 2 hours, but you'll still run it. And running 20 miles is much more hardcore than running 2.5 miles.

About 2 blocks before I start coughing up phlegm and my back starts feeling like I got stabbed in my spine. If my back doesn't hurt, I can walk forever. A few times, I walked to and from my college (12 miles each way), with a 40lb street sign that i had stolen, slung over my shoulder (plus like 20lb of books).

You'll soon regain the ability once the relative flexibility and mobility comes back, your limbs might not be used to supporting your new roided bodyweight, but fuck it, it will still regain all that ability fairly fucking quickly. After leaving school I never ran, apart from really odd shit within sport, which I guess kept everything oiled up nicely. I tried a few different runs and was still fairly fucking quick. I was at my quickest over all distances at around 175-180lbs. Being light and having fuck all muscle is fucking brilliant for running any distance > 400 metres. The runners get skinnier and smaller over the longer distances, and in the marathon you get some downright cancerous looking fuckers. I should add that the right kind of muscle will help dramatically with sprinting though, still long and lean is the best combination, Usain Bolt, Kim Collins, Christie, etc... and you can not train for this, generally, you are born with it or not.

My father was an exceptional 10k runner in his day, he never trained and smoked like a chimney. He'd often turn up to races and be smoking on the start line, which would make the other competitors complacent, but he would still win anyway. He never trained for running either, apart from one year when he said he "overdid it" so backed off from it completely, he must have thought he could get ahead to better levels of competition through training, but in reality he just fucked himself up. The reason for this great running ability was his light bodyweight (140lbs) and excellent genetics. My uncle is exactly the same, albeit a taller and heavier person, he only ever ran in one race as a backup for a friend and broke the school and I believe county record for the 800 metres, that was the only race he ever did, besides a 5k race when he was in his late twenties. He won that too.

Running really is genetic as fuck, there's virtually NOTHING some faggot who trains hard at running can do against a geneti-runner, there is simply no competition. I often go to sites like runnersworld.com and see how pathetic some faggots really are, training themselves to the point of injury to meet some kind of one mile time that I could hit just literally pissing around, and in reality, I'm not that great a runner, certainly EXTREMELY above average but there is just so many people that are at the next level up from me it's fucking pointless trying, besides that I switched my sporting emphasis which put more muscular bodyweight on my frame, rendering running competitively (which is boring anyway) fucking pointless, in addition to this my father warned me against running competitively particularly for teams and other shit you get involved with, he told me enough to make me have a slight hatred towards running. One thing that is great though is beating your peers in some kind of running contest, in anything else like weightlifting, powerlifting, most people just do not give a fuck if you can outlift them by an extreme margin, however if you destroy someone who has been running for a while over say, a mile, they will literally hate you for rest of your life. It really is a kick in the teeth to people when you beat them at running, it must be something really primitive in us, the fact that they can't equal you in this utterly basic task must be absolutely fucking soul destroying. I've done this with running and on bicycles too, my best advice is to just pip people at the finish line if you really are better than them, it lets them retain some dignity. I think there were a few people that got "lapped" in the 800 metres at school, those people must have fucking killed themselves by now, they fucking MUST HAVE.

I went jogging today for the first time in about 8 months. I made it 1.3 miles in 11 minutes before stopping from a side cramp, I ate about 20 min before jogging. I made it 3.35 miles in 35 minutes.

I'm going to start jogging 2 or 3 times a week so I improve by fall... then lose any ability over winter
