Can ranch dressing go bad?
ok so like...urgent question...
I started eating this sandwich I made and I put ranch on it. It's some homemade ranch or something my mom's friend made because they're like trying to make legit ranch, and they have over 9,000 test bottles to give away...anyways it's been in the fridge for a few months...I don't know if it has any preservatives or anything...i smelled it and it smells like fresh ranch...I just hope I don't get food poisoning...worst feeling in the world. srsly it sucks really bad
tl;dr ranch 3 months old...should I eat it?

Re: Can ranch dressing go bad?
few months is nothing...if it was sealed and kept in the fridge it should be good.

Re: Can ranch dressing go bad?
There are sites that give various lengths of time for stuff opened and in the fridge. They don't all agree though. IDK about your ranch, I just hope that it isn't raunch!

Re: Can ranch dressing go bad?
your only choice is to eat other combinations of the over 9000 samples in hopes that one will counteract the toxic effects of the first.

Unless it's botulism: you feel fine.
Then you
I always try to put a date on my ketchup and such. I just threw out some that I'd hardly used as it was more than 6 months old. I've used some a year old but they say youse shouldn't.

Sometimes ketchup and mustard lasts me over a year before I finish the bottle and it's always fine...even salad dressing, hot peppers, relish...stop trying to scare him before he develops hypochondria and starts gagging and puking air.

Re: Can ranch dressing go bad?
Home made ranch can definitely go bad. Ketchup and mustard are not even the same sport motherfuckers.

Fuck, I remember one time I was at my buddies house about 5 years ago and I got hungry so I was looking for food and I checked a cupboard and it had an unopened box of chocolate covered almonds in it, the kind that school kids used to go door to door selling, it had a label wrapped around it with a coupon for something that was valid until dec 31st 1978!
