It would be better to rename some forums in a normal way

I think everybody have allready noticed, that some of the forums have really weird names, and they are serious names that have a proper name otherwise.

LIke there are forums that are simply called Politics, or Conspiracy, which is great, because it is what they are.

But then there are forums about Interenet, which is called LOL Internet, like it is supposed to have onbly funny thread?

Or another one, which is very serious about Sociology / Phylosophy, which is called The Inhuman Condition - this one has a really fucked up name.

Or another one about Psychiatry / Psychology - which is called Neurons and Needles - another name thta has little meaning for the forum.

Anyway, if you are on this forum, you allready know which forums have really fucked up names that were named this way just for the hell of it, without making any improvement for the forum names readability.

IMO, "LOL, Internet" is better than "Internet stuff", or "Internet". I don't know. We had a poll on the name, btw, that's the one that won.

About the others, I don't know, maybe the section mods/admins will be willing to change the name if people suggest something.

Yes, because that day all the trolls had nothing better to do than voting in a poll, think about it. "Internet Matters" I know for example it is a normal name without even voting.

I think that every section should be named the most comprehensible way.

when i want to go to a forum i use ctrl+f and type like if im trying to get to the finance forum i can never remember the name of it so i just ctrl+f "finance" and then i find it like that.

the forums have dumb names but thats what zok wants so you should probably close this thread

P.S. Another great idea would be to rename completely Neurons and Needles in "SANE MIND IN SANE BODY" - this way it would be a section where it is possible to discuss about health in general, mental & physical both ways in the same place.

I think that too, some names form totse just couldn't be done better.

The way they did name the forums just worstened things, that's is it.

I think anyway, that the prerogatoive is to name the most serious forums in the most natural way, which is easy to understand as it is, not by reading th explanations in small characters.

Here's an idea, if you want to rename a forum; work with the mods of the forum involved, and the regular users to find an acceptable name. i've never found the admins to be all that averse to changing things around, and we've reworked the stoners forums several times over the last few months.

Yea I'm sitting here proof reading my 10 year old nephews "research" paper and realized how similar the two writing styles are. Eg: Pretentious use of thesaurus words that don't fit (let alone add substance or meaning), lack of critical thinking (can't realize how neurons & needles relates to psychology / psychiatry), and an overall argument that begs the question.

Can we get a mod to ban OP? It's painfully obvious that he is not old enough to agree to Zoklet's terms and conditions. Not only does allowing OP to remain here decrease overall post quality, but it also jeopardizes this website and his personal safety. If he cannot decipher the meaning behind aforementioned forum names, how is he going to know that huffing raid doesn't get you high or mixing ammonia and bleach won't make a firecracker?
