Sounds to me like this guy is guilty of what he's being charged of. The charge of him writting the manual, is probley because he helped distribute it and maybe added a little note or something.

He pays for all those that get away. It's part of the game of crime.

Where in the official documents do they say he was Coupon Guy? I don't see that. I see them saying he linked to the tutorial made by "Coupon Guy" but never claiming he and Coupon Guy were the same person.

That's not the official complaint brought up in court, that's a press release. It also specifies tutorials, plural, which sort of suggests they are taking liberty with the word (i.e. might be considering any regular informative post to be a "tutorial").

The FBI knows they are different people, and it was stated as such in the official complaint.

I thinks someone should file a complaint with the EFF and ACLU (as much as I think they're assholes) or something, it couldn't hurt and it could help anon out if someone takes interest in the case. I doubt the FBI is going to go to war over someone who distributed a coupon guide.

He was charged with wire fraud, and trafficking in counterfeit goods for (allegedly) creating coupons and using them and/or helping someone else use them.

Actually if I were coupon guy, i'd wait for a moment where it was guarenteed henderson would be on trial at like probably 10am or something like that. I can't get over the fact that out of probably hundreds of thousands of people that use fraudulent coupons, one guy has been singled out. This whole thing is eating away at me. I guess it's b/c I feel partially responsible. As the mod in this section I allowed the admission of crimes. I keep thinking if I hadn't, maybe Anon wouldn't have been arrested. I've just been obsessing about this nonstop. I can't even sleep w/o sleeping pills.

I'm also pissed b/c the coupon discussion should have been shut down a long time ago. The legality of it was brought up by Scumbag in M&A yet not one admin commented. I'm disappointed at how things went. I have regrets about not enforcing the 'not admitting to crimes' rule at that time but I was unable to. When I was first made mod I had surgery a few weeks before that. I was very sick for a long time with a staph infection I got during the surgery. Then SLIM & Scumbag left. This whole thing is a big fucking mess. I'm so fucking angry about the whole thing & I'm in my own hell of regret. I wish I could let it go but I just can't...

Zok made the decision seven months ago that no infractions would be issued for admitting to crimes, so even if you had of infracted for it one of his lackeys would have just reversed it anyways.
