I just buy disposable lighters, so there's no way they could last more than a month. I do have a box with a dozen or so half-dead white lighters. I buy the white ones so I WON'T lose them, and yet I still have the box.

I've had mine for over six months now, and I smoke about half a pack a day, and atleast one bowl. I've never had one last this long, though.

Zippos are almost more trouble than they're worth. I have enough trouble maintaining mine as it is and I don't even smoke. If I was using it every day I'd go mad.

They require less maintenance when used every day, strangely. When I was using one I put in new fluid once or twice a week and changed the flint every 3-4 months.
