Default Any bassists here a fan of the amazing Michael Manring and his hyperbass?
He's an excellent solo bassist. I beleived he studied with Jaco back in the day. The tune below, "Selene", really shows the possibilities you can do with this bass. Jaco's "Portrait of Tracy" was innovative as hell with the use of harmonics when it came out in the 70s. Michael Manring takes it to the next level here...
