Fucking awkward moment!

OK so I'm taking this science class at a local community college and I'm pretty quiet and keep to myself. Today we had an in class assignment and we were supposed to pair up, I'm too awkward to talk to anyone so I try and work by myself. The teacher was like "You need a partner come with me" so I follow her to the back of the room where this HOT girl was sitting by herself and the teacher is like "can you guys please work together?" and the girl looks up, sees me and looks absolutely annoyed/disgusted

but says "yea sure". I'm already super fucking nervous because she is HOT, like her titties are hanging out, her ass is in those super short summer shorts, I was seriously getting a semi in my pants.

I try to be cool and make small talk, not happening

So we focus on our assignment. We were given different colored cards and we had to "mate" them to get offspring and then see who has dominant/recessive traits. I tried to make a joke like "I guess we should have sex now(referring to the assignment)" and she totally freaked out and the whole class turned and saw me get annihilated

I tried to explain it was just a bad joke but wow, she didn't go for it

She walks out and teacher follows her, and I'm just standing there while TWENTY FUCKING PEOPLE ARE STARING AT ME LIKE A PERVERT.

I'm gonna have to late drop that class, I seriously don't wanna go back there. And I cried on my way home, why am I so weird

The only thing I would maaaaybe suggest is to apologize to her before or after class if you get a chance. While she's calmed down she might be more rational about it.

Either way, she's a dumb bitch for several reasons. A) Not getting the joke, and B) Freaking out that much even if she did misinterpret it.

It was a pretty weird joke. And if you're a hot girl who likely gets hit on/stared at all the time and you get partnered with some quiet guy with a semi bulging through his jeans and eyes bugging out at the sight of a hot girl, hearing it as one of the first things out of his mouth isn't going to go down well.

Don't make really blatant innuendos to try to break the ice with hot girls because it's very obvious you actually do want to have sex with her and it sounds creepy. She doesn't want some guy she doesn't have any sexual interest in making sex jokes. She might even have overreacted and embarrassed you on purpose because she was annoyed to be partnered with one more awkward guy who wants to nail her.

And yeah, I guess maybe a quiet apology is the best thing if she doesn't instantly avoid the hell out of you upon sight.

It really depends on how much discussion had gone on up to that point...if they're talking about sexual reproduction and matching traits and the conversation is already on that, from the academic perspective, then the joke isn't that weird.

However, if they're just shuffling index cards for a few minutes quietly and he looks over and goes "Hey...wanna have sex?" then yeah, her freakout makes plenty of sense.
