School computer restarts when playing a game

Here's the deal, school comps have faronics deepfreeze installed and I've installed silent hunter 3 with the 1.4b update and no-cd patch but immediatly upon running it the computer restarts and all the time spent installing it is wasted. any idea whats going on?

Go into startup progs, stop the fucker there.
Or go into the config and do selective startup if you can get admin access

I know of someone who works in enterprise IT, and they use DeepFreeze. Are you familiar with how it works? It doesn't stop you from modifying anything, but just resets everything back to a "normal" config after every reboot. Maybe the computers are set to reboot when you try to play a game, go full screen for an app or something else. Look into both running processes and services and see if you can find DeepFreeze. IIRC it's a persistent little fucker.

Just bring in your own laptop. It's worth it if you have one. I recently nabbed the school's wireless key and I have a laptop that can (barely) run Source engine games. I can even play them online! A classmate of mine can play WoW during school.

What school of non-higher education (Which I assume the OP is using) allows the use of laptops?
