looking at a picture of my ex from when i was like 13-14 on facebook i was struck by my memories.

i always strung her along and disregarded her even though she really liked me. i dumped her and went out with her best friend, then stopped talking to her. she's gorgeous now - she's got that average-girl-good-taste thing going on and i'm glad how i treated her didn't fuck her up. the photo was a holiday snap with her long-term boyfriend and it makes me happy to see her going out there and embracing life.

I was popular just by not being a dick and blaming my problems on others, an issue that some people have.

If I had to fit in any clique it'd be the smart kids, I guess, but I talked to and was friends with everyone. Jocks, cheerleaders, rednecks, goths, nerds, etc.

Some of the jocks were assholes, yeah, and I didn't really acknowledge their existence. But there is no cosmic karma. Some of the assholes will be failures, and some will, infuriatingly enough, be pretty successful.

I think that happened to me. Always got rejected in high school, etc, now things are kind of different. I think because I had bad acne and was really skinny in high school.
