Walmart: return more than one thing, get cash?

Hey guys, im wondering if i return more than one thing (assuming each is under 25) if i can still get cash, or since im returning more than one thing if ill get store credit, and if you know if there is a way around this if this is the case. Thanks!

if the total your returning is under 15 you can get cash otherwise they put it on store credit... just did this the other day and thats what the lady told me or something like that.

I always assumed you need ID if you dont have a receipt. If you have a receipt you can return anything without ID.

Most of the time, If you don't have a receipt and just ask for store credit they'll do it. They normally won't just give you cash though.

Swim once stole 4 sets of rain gear ($50 each), 4 Nice flashlights (31.88 each) 4 digital compasses (20 each) and had the balls to return them with his female partner claiming they we're going on a camping trip but it was cancelled and they couldn't find the receipt. They took it back of course put it on a store card because no receipt. Swim and his female partner filled up there gas tanks at the walmart gas station (murphys USA) and them went to a pawn shop who buys walmart cards but takes 20% out the price. Got back I think $313 or something like that. Not bad for 30 min work.

I know a guy that returned 10 lower priced items($9) and they gave him a $90+ gift card at Walmart. Another store did this for him as well. It all depends on the SA...some bitch, some don't. Try again elsewhere.

Maybe at your store. At one store, $25+ can only be exchanged on the spot. No gift card. My friend returned a $70 item and bought $65 worth of groceries with the exchange, and got $5 in cash because the associate was nice.

Different stores have different policies. Call or ask to be sure

I remember when a bunch of 360s got banned a year or so ago. Everyone bought a new xbox from walmart and gutswapped that shit with theirs. Smh at Walmarts return policy.

At the Wal~Mart here you get three returns in a 120 day period without a reciept. And when you get to the forth time you do this when they put your information in it with call a csm (customer service manager) to the service desk to do a key flip before the refund is completed. They put their key in and approve it and warn you about how many returns you've done and say next time you will have to have a reciept. Also the walmart here will take items costing less than 10 dollars back without a reciept and give you cash everytime and wont ask for ID or anything usually. Once they start denying you everytime you try to return things under 10 dollars which usually takes a while for that to happen. You should stop stealing from that store because that means your suspicious.

My friend has been doing this way too much lately, he knows he's being lazy and dumb. in his area every wal-mart has a 24 hr (not related to walmart) grocery store across the street, from which it is easy to steal shit. so every day he's been going around to the 3 walmarts in his area, stealing easy to steal shit, making sure it's like $8-9 at wal-mart, and going across the street to return it at walmart. yeah it's only like 24-27 bucks but it's so fucking easy, they don't take your ID or anything. if you wanted to go all frank abagnale on them you could start figuring out when the shifts change and do it 3 times a day, i guess.

my friend was doing this all at night, when its usually the same worker, and one location started giving him store credit only (bitch!) because he got so lazy with it.

so yeah, try a return that's less than $10 and see if they don't ID you. if not, go nuts, just don't be a dumbass like my friend was with it.

Oh and to answer your other question, I'm pretty sure at Wal-mart, without a receipt, anything over $50 requires a CSM's approval, but they USUALLY will. depends if it's a middle aged woman or not (anyone else notice those are always the ones who try to give you shit? especially the fat ones).

In my dumb friend's experience, even if it was check, credit, debit, whatever, they still give you cash as long as it wasn't food stamps...god food stamps piss my friend off. Not because he has anything against food stamps or the people on those programs, but because he's sick of finding receipts for a $40 steak and being like "fuck yea jackpot" then looking down and seeing "EBT SNAP TEND"....
