A list of terror inducing night time observations with Night Vision and Sound Filters

At the request of my friends who have become obsessed, terrorized and paranoid by this project which originally had no name but was later dubbed Project Fear.

Thank you to every one that has helped me thus far.
Any enthusiasts, I don't intend for this to scare you away from the night.

Some are unlucky.

By now your probably wondering WTF this guy is talking about and to put it short it's a list of the most scariest things I have seen at night whilst wearing N.V.G (light enhancer) with a I.R right scope (thermal enhancer) and what's known as Sound Filters.

I'll explain Sound Filters as they're not self explanatory.
S.F's are audio enhancing devices which have been associated with snipers in the military, they're uses include amplifying sound both long range or close.
8 microphones attach to various areas of the body 2 near the kidneys, 2 near your sternum, 2 on your ankles and 2 on your wrists.
Those microphones feed into high quality earphones on multiple channels to avoid that horrible microphone screech.
The result effectively 8 ears.

The ones on your ankles and wrists are particularly problematic as they have to be worn just tight enough to avoid cutting your circulation off as they distort greatly with movement.

S.F's make it sound like your footsteps are that of a characters on a video game walking on tiles.
They're fucking awesome and I'm glad we took the time and money.

My observations, all worthy of having a thread of they're own.

Project night 1: I wouldn't go back out into the night with out weapons.
Project night 2: I wouldn't go back out into the night without sea salt.
Project night 3: I seriously considered never leaving my room.

So you understand how it's done but what is it that I'm doing?
First understand how this idea evolved.

I started going out later at night to visit my friends, my town became increasingly more dangerous as I was exposed to more trends.
Friday every kid in the towns out drunk.
Saturday every night club is spewing out hostiles.
Sunday stragglers parking in odd places to party.
My walks from home to destination exposed me to every threat my town had to other.
Then my idea came "What if I venture the most dangerous places at night for adrenaline kicks." I later found a far better source.

So that idea was developed and I formulated obscure strategies to avoid danger and experience it at the same time, late night journeying was no longer a problem once I got good.

After doing that almost every weekend in a row, it was time for a sea change "Ok this is cool but it's only on the way and back, this can't be a hobby."

I thought and I thought and I looked at all the existing night time hobbies which lead me through the shit of night ops and the paranormal freaks.

Taking inspiration from my dangerous walks and kids wearing panties for masks running around a 'haunted' house, it had begun possibly the greatest faggotry of all time.

It took 9 months to get everything together, all my friends and sponsors very VERY cynical that I'd be wasting their money with no interesting results.

My idea and theory was with modern technology I could see and hear things that were already there, just unnoticed.

Now it gets interesting, introducing the list.

Night 1:
Dam this equipment is fucking heavy as I heaved ass through a golf course not far from my house.
I'm in the middle of the field near the lake when I notice something rather fucked up on my right IR scope, strange symbols illuminated on the trees.
Some looked like /\\\//\\ ++===/ :

The symbols had me on edge enough as is, so much so that I was neglecting everything else.
On my left & right scope I see what looks like a small tree only I stare at it and closer inspection it's a fucking guy.
Not far from the strange trees might I add, I walk towards him despite what I'd rather do.

This large man is wearing a strange apron that looks like it has wood chips and gravel all over it, as I approach him he wrangles his arms like branches he looked so much like a tree it fucking scared me.

I wanted to ask him of the symbols but just no not a good idea.

Half hour later I'm walking up a forest path near medium residential, just admiring how spectacular my hearing is and slight disappointment with the wind distorting it.
In spite of that I can hear something, behind me and on my left hand side, near my feet.

My IR scope isn't detecting much of anything, just looks like a red blur my green scope spots something rather, horrible.

A man has a woman pinned under the undergrowth of the forest path, I move my wrists in their direction and hear muffled whimpers and scampering leaves.

"No they're just fucking.. carry on." but I don't.

pervert yes.

I sit and get a tad closer, I'm far more brave being away from tree man.
There's muffled voices.
"Just, mmm MM, MPH."
"Shh."

Wait did he just hit her, no, can't b-no he just hit her WTF.
This is fucked I'm lying down at this point scared for her, scared what he'll do and scared he'll see me.
He's really laying into her, my IR scope now more useful than when I got there.
There's a lot of red, I get paranoid what if she's bleeding real bad, dumb cunt the SCOPE is red.
Only on my green scope it kind of looks like it but it's probably not.
Nah dude, dude that really could be blood, hearts pounding.

The bushes rattle on for 5 minutes which seem like an hour, the man and woman now significantly more visible.

She's lying there.
Tired from the sex maybe? bashed maybe? .... ! no don't think that...

The man startles me by standing up, he's about 4ft tall light beard, cargo pants and a white work shirt.

His fist is still clenched, no he's holding something and he just threw it, a rock?
Fuck this freak just beat a woman to death with a rock, fuck.
He's walking up towards me, I take off the scopes and cover them with my shirt, I can't see my eyes haven't even adjusted.
He's very audible now I think about it, these S.F's aren't bad.
I remember back to when I'd get into these situations on purpose, gut telling me to stay put.

He walks past me and I catch the scent of B.O over my pounding heart.

He's gone.
But, she's, yep she's dead.
First time seeing a dead body.

Firstly Night Vision Goggles aren't that uncommon, run a quick E-bay search.
Sound Filters how ever, most of our mic's were purchased from http://www.spytechs.com/ (spy chest) then it's just a matter of routing them to both headphones and doing a little research on Twisted Pair shielding which helps with interference.
I'm not too familiar with audio engineering anyway.

Fuck getting bashed or seen by a rapist, I thought my town was bad for the violent drunks alone apparently it gets worse.

My N.V.G's are two scope monocles connected to the same power outlet.
You'll be wanting forth generation and bought individually the scopes are round about $1000 - $3000+.

The sound filters are just a couple of high powered microphones tweaked to allow certain settings by my friend, the type of guy you give your stereo to fix and he gives it back with all this cool shit in it.

Looking back on the Sound Filters, I'd just by one microphone, the kind eves droppers use and wear head phones with it.

Still 8 ears fucking rules.

I did call the police at a payphone, I had to write a statement and explain why I had my gear.
Jesus it's hard to explain that gear.
No cell.
They're the ones that told me about sound filters in regards to the military.

A flash camera would defeat stealth but I'm looking into a cool $690 video cam that records to flash drive, making upload very quick

Night people, updates soon I actually just went out to do my original idea of walking dangerous places intentionally.
There was a group of Black kids blocking my path over a bridge drinking Woodstock =[.
So I went around the other bridge which took ages and raped my legs plus smokers lungs and there's a congregation of goth kids smoking and listening to Cradle of Filth on a radio.
Walking past them with heavy eye-contact to provoke them the group starts yelling "Fight me, FIGHT ME! FFUUUUCKING FIGHT MEEEE!!!", which was exhilarating (till I'm bashed by goths).
So I stop facing them with open body language and check my phone, then turn around and walk off slowly.
Walking away slowly with long confident strides makes them loose interest I've learned.

Just don't get jumped from behind.

Night guys, roam the night and don't let fear control you.
The things I've experienced from 'this' fucked up, but when I speak of this around anyone, at a pub, on the phone at the bus stop, not one person isn't listening openly and shamelessly.
