I can be oblivious to certain details or sometimes the overall picture, in an ADHD sort of way. But when it comes to driving or something requiring a lot of thought, I am usually very observant, unless I get bored.

Im a ninja, of course i am aware of my surroundings. I feel like the next second everything could escalate into a huge battle (barfight zombie attack whatever) so im always on my toes.

Depends on where I am. When I'm in my own home, away from the world, I could have Batman jumping on the bed right next to me and have absolutely no idea.

When I'm at work I'm hyper aware of every single minute detail. It's exhausting, but that's the way it has to be.

When I'm out somewhere, it depends on who I'm with. With friends, I'm pretty chill about things. Not to the point where I'm going to leave my drink unattended and get date-raped or anything, but I don't feel the need to see and hear everything so I dull my senses and put my attention to better use.

Nobody can be complete aware all of the time - In my experience it's fucking exhausting. I've spent time traveling around some sketch ass parts of Eastern Europe and Asia (and some shady areas of Western Europe for that matter) where you constantly have to be keeping an eye out for various scams, robbers, thieves, etc. or else you are an easy target. Although these trips were awesome, living life watching your back sucks.

Update: I fell out of the tree, unaware that I sometimes try to roll over in my sleep. I am unaware how long I have been unconsciously unaware of my surroundings but it is eerily quiet out here.
