Most of the time big companies don't even bother to follow up with the shipper regarding lost deliveries. If they do bother to re-check the tracking info in a few weeks and say it now shows delivered (which is highly unlikely in the first place) just repeat that didn't arrive. They must have delivered it to the wrong house, 'cause it still isn't there. (No need to say "maybe it was stolen..." )
If it was sent USPS they don't have tracking on it anyway.

Should have clarified that it was from UK amazon and that it was sent standard mail with zero tracking, they must have a fair few stolen enroute I imagine too as the box its delievered in has kindle plastered all over it
