Default caught my 'friend' lying about arrest?

Hello

I know this guy for couple of months and last thursday (4 days ago) i called him to pick up qo of bud for me since he knows a guy that does it really cheap. As usually i handed him the money and waited elsewhere til he comes back with it.

He said he will be right back and after 20 minutes he txts me that hes at the dealers, and will be back shortly. Meanwhile another 30 minutes pass and i get really nervous.

I call him and his phone is turned off. I txt him.
Here's the trick: On my cell phone i have the option of receiving the status of my txt msg. It can be used like a ping.
If a message is delivered to the phone i get a response delivered.
If the phone is dead or no service i get the message: pending and then delivered comes back ones the phone receives the message.

Ok, so i send him couple of texts and receive "pending" reply. After 2 hours or so the phone goes back on and he receives all my messages. Seeing the phone is turned on, i send another message, and again "pending". And "delivered" comes back after an hour or so suggesting he turned his phone back on for a short period of time to see what's up and then turned it off again.

Now today (sunday), he sends me a message that he's getting out of jail right now (central bookings) and that undercovers caught him with bud coming out of dealers house and arrested him. Apparently he's gotta do community service.

For those familiar with police operations:
Does this sound like a believable scenario?

I thought central bk puts you before judge the next day, and i dont think he would get to stay there for 4. Additionally, today when he sent the text is the day i normally would see him around the area where i chill.

Any sherlock holmes around?

thanks

The community service part sounds like bullshit, community service is a SENTENCE, and you don't get sentenced at the police station, that happens months and months later after several court appearances.

The reason people get put before a judge a couple of days after arrest is when they've been arrested and refused police bail, so they've had to spend a night or two or the weekend in jail, and they then go before the judge attempting to be granted bail by the court so they have freedom before their next court date.

That's how it works in my state in Australia, at least.

He could have pled guilty right away, I'm pretty sure. Not sure if he would've necessarily gotten his sentence right then and there, though.

But the cops could've looked through his phone at the jail, I've seen guards laugh and joke around with some chick when her phone kept going off (it was a Lil Wayne ringtone) asking her if she was dealing or something lol. They're not allowed to actually read your texts or anything, but some do anyway.

He could totally be bullshitting, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is.

You got robbed, and he thinks you're just gonna take it and not say anything about it, or you actually just totally believe him. You should at the very least ask him to pay you back for it.

Even if he did get arrested you should still demand your money back.

Why would an undercover go for your friend rather than the dealer? It sounds like you got gipped.

No fucking way he got community service that quick, due process is way too slow for that and only a complete dumbass would plead guilty that quick.

Also, depending on how much he was caught with and as per your local laws they might have just gave him a ticket.

Besides, it's HIS responsibility to pay you back your money or get your weed.

You are fucking stupid if you believe him. If you have any balls what so ever you will tell him you still need to get some. Have him meet you, then put a gun in his mouth and make him show you the god damn court papers and arrest report. Guarantee you he won't be able to produce them, because it never happened. It's your fault for trusting some dipshit you met 4 months ago with your cash. Don't be a pussy, rob him for everything he has (I'm talking about even making this fool take you to his house), then doing something violent to him in a way that it will scar him for life so he has something to remember you by.

You're not his best friend or some shit, and even best friends will fuck you over. When it comes to drugs on the streets, the money and the drugs both need to be there or there is no fucking deal. Anything else is probably going to be shady eventually. Unless you have some sort of organization with TRUSTED business associates.

Usually a court appearance is scheduled atleast a month away from the arrest(just like a traffic ticket).

I would assume he stole your money, bought weed, turned his phone off, smoked the weed, lied to you about being arrested, will continue to tell you that he can't pay you back because of community service and fines, will continue to avoid you, and will eventually disappear without ever paying you back.

I would also assume he knows very little about the legal system.

You probably paid $100, is it worth robbing and pointing a gun at him like some of these posters are suggesting? I think not, you don't really want to go to jail do you?

Your options:

A) Ask him for the money back and proof he got arrested
B) Call him out on his bullshit and hope he gives you back your money
C) Rob him and confront him with a gun

Ahhhhh yeah, he probably thought of that when he made that shit up, that he could use fines as an excuse to not pay him back. Lol pwned.

Came in here to say this.

When I was arrested, I ended up going with a plea agreement, even though I could have beaten the case on trial. But the thing was, there was like a year long waiting list for trials in my region or whatever, so I would have had to stay on probation pending a trial for over a year, which would have totally fucked my life over for a wide variety of reasons. The actual charge wasn't that bad, and the plea agreement was just community service, so I chose that rather then go to trial. Fucked up system if you ask me.

But it was a full 6 months before all this was sorted out. I chose the quickest legal way to deal with it, and it still took half a year. I'm sure location is dependent on this, but theres no way someone gets booked and then let loose with community service instantly. I don't know of any legal system that works like that. If hes out, its on bail, or some sort of probation type deal. There would not be a sentence yet.

So, OP, you getting played most likely.

e: Oh, and you also don't do drug deals like that. No drugs no monies.

Haha, 100 bucks for 7 grams. Pass.

And anyone suggesting pulling a gun is retarded.

"Yo man, why you serving life"

"Well some young buck took me for 50 bucks, so I pulled a gun on him and shit went bad. I unloaded in his face and since I wasn't expecting to murder him the cops basically had the entire case gift wrapped."

"lol" *sodomizes*

Oh shit son!

So you be sticking a gun in a niggas mouth over 50 bucks?

You ain't been in the game that long. Or else you would realize theres nothing cool or intelligent about that, its just stupid.

Ya ya, principles. Its 50 bucks. Get over it. Especially in this case where the OP basically set himself up to get took. If you're such a gangster, 50 bucks might as well be your morning piss. You'd risk life (or life in jail) for your morning piss? Smart man here.

Yes I will stick my pistol in someone's mouth over 50 bucks. It's not about the money, it's about the disrespect. Anyone who is even slightly cunning can lure someone into a situation where they're cornered with no witnesses. Nobody is going to prison. If somebody thinks I'm some little bitch who they're gonna play games with, they have it seriously twisted.

See the thing is, most people...

DO NOT HAVE THE BALLS OR THE BRAINS THAT IT TAKES TO BE IN THE GAME AND SUCCEED

Some have one or the other, but its rare that you find both in a person, but I am one of those people.

You cross me on the streets, and you can be sure that I have the knowledge, the will, and the means to fucking bury you and get away with it. I'm ruthless bro, I have no moral or legal apprehensions when it comes to retaliation for someone fucking with my money. As I've said before, it's not about the money, it's about the message. The streets is watching, if you want to run them people have to know they can't fuck with you.

SeanyDigital doesn't play games.

Most people in the drug game are like rats, you let one of them take a bite of the cheese, and pretty soon more will come and take more bites of the cheese because they can, and soon the cheese will be picked apart. Just like you, if you let that slide.

I'll end that with a japanese proverb that exemplifies situations like this:

'For want of a nail, the horseshoe was lost. For want of a horseshoe, the steed was lost. For want of a steed, the message was not delivered. For want of an undelivered message, the war was lost.'

catch my drift?

That's not quite right but if he did plead guilty, they can sentence you on the spot. I've had two adult charges go like that but I was in between a rock and a hard place so pleading guilty was for simplicity's sake.

read that wrong at first, qp, quarter ounce it doesn't matter, someone stealing from you is someone stealing for you

Actually, prison food isn't that bad, it's county jail food that really sucks...

When you do dirt, do it right, and there won't be any witnesses, with no witnesses or physical evidence (again, easy to do if you know what you're doing), YOU WILL NEVER GET CONVICTED OF ANYTHING

Especially if you have 30k in your "just in case" lawyer fund and hire a very smart jew lawyer, because you're smart enough to know that eventually legal problems will arise so you've set aside money for that.

I have already been through it all, multiple times.

you fell for the oldest trick in the book dude. anyway it would be a very dumb undercover cop that stopped a user leaving a dealers house and arrested them for possession. they don't do things like that. the reason they dont is because they would be much more interested in catching the dealer and by stopping and searching people leaving his house, it would alert the dealer that they were not just on to him, but actively investigating him. police don't work like that, they avoid anything that would let on to their operations(especially not for a pot possession). the best way you could tell for sure if hes lying tho is to find out if the dealer got busted at the same time. i.e they stopped your friend at the very moment they were about to raid the house. its very unlikely tho, so go ahead and give your friend a good hiding and take what ever possessions he has on him at the time(they are urs now under street law). also demand he comes up with some form of proof. i'm guessing you get charge sheets when you're arrested over there(im assumming ur US(or bail sheets/release sheet)). if you got arrested when you were still in possession of someone elses drugs then you would keep as much proof as you could get. so don't take that bullshit about him being a big hard man and when they handed him the sheet he screwed it up and threw it at them. and i guarantee thats what he will say when you ask him too.

No drugs no monies.
dont know about the states but here community service is run thru the probation service. you have to have the case adjourned to have an assessment to see if they think you are suitable for it. it is a 3 week adjournment usually. can even be longer but rarely less. they have to interview you, check you out and write up a report that gets presented to the court.

i know what you're saying about going guilty to get shit done quick. i had a theft and assault that would have kept me on remand for best part of a year. it was pretty minor but i could have beaten it easy. but going for the quick route got me 6 months and out in 3. fucking sucks to have that assault on my record tho.

I have already been through it all, multiple times.
U hard! Ya... You hard.

Lets say the guy who ripped you off sends a text to a friend saying "yo man haha i just ripped jimmy buttholeo off a qo of weed! What a bitch! I doubt hell do anything even though he tries to carry himself as hard"

The you go to confront this guy with your gun. Lets say he also has a gun. You pull your gun out, and then he moves for his. So you kill him. Then run away.

Except when the murder police come rolling around, they look at his phone, see your name, and you become the prime suspect of a murder. Ok, so they might not get the murder charge, given there was no eye ball witness and you disposed of everything and left no physical evidence. But they still got your name. They will be all up in your shit. Then your gangster business is exposed. They might get you on the murder, they might not, but they will be keeping an eye on you. Either way, none of that, including ditching the pistol used, is worth the 50 bucks. Thats one hypothetical. Fuck, you could just get T-boned by a drunk driver after you do the hit, and when the paramedics and cops come, they find the gun on you.

If you are running a criminal enterprise staying low key is one of the most important things. You want a street rep, but you don't want the murder police knowing your name. You go around dropping bodies over 50 bucks you ain't gonna be on the streets long.

Dealing, or whatever the fuck your into, is a business. Every business has losses. If someone took you for a large amount, then some retaliation may be warranted. But 50 bucks? Pfft.

I just read pass the first paragraph and let me just stop you right there you moron. YOU DONT GO JUST CONFRONTING THEM WITH A GUN. You play stupid, act like you wanna get more (being the greedy fuck this person is, they will be glad to oblige), you tell them to meet you in a perfect area where there are no witnesses or cameras. Then you wait there, and when he gets there your goons spring on him from an unexpected place, have then you guys proceed to beat the shit out of him, then you pull out your strap, and while he's on his knees swearing he didn't steal from you and he's not lying (they will always try this), you tell that fool to kiss your fucking pistol and quit crying like a bitch, and you have your goon grab his wallet for is id, and his keys, have your boys hold this fool down, while you go rob his house of everything of value (with gloves, and shower caps fitted over your shoes of course), then come back, give him something to remember you by (i prefer a razor blade to the cheek), and then drop his little bitch ass off somewhere far away from his home.

Oh and if he doesnt have an id, just get into his car, guarantee there will be something in there (registration, insurance, some type of bill) with his address

lol. And whats to stop the person from just straight up killing you after this? And don't talk about how hard you are or whatever, if someone wants you dead, its nearly impossible to protect yourself all the time.

Another way to do it, which is one of my favorites... but you have to know a hot ass down gangster bitch who will help you (I have plenty)

Find out what bars this guy frequents, send her there and have her act like she doesn't know him and have her flirt with the guy, strike up a conversation (guys will always fall for this, always), then drink a little together. Have her say "How about we go back to your place, and have some fun?"

When they get there, girl says she wants to drink more, the mark gets more drinks, then she find some reason for him to go get something else (like a shirt of his for her to wear), and while he does this, she slips a fuckload of GHB in his drink. 10 minutes later he's out.

He wakes up to find himself tied up, with you and your goons in his house, and gangsta bitch is long gone.

Hilarity ensues.

ROFL, few people have the balls to pull a trigger. Trust me, you do this to someone and they will never ever fuck with you again, they will probably move away and never be heard from.

No you can't protect yourself all the time, but you can always be prepared for war. And always maintain hyper vigilance.

Both ways of revenge I have given HAVE BEEN DONE.

I'm not defensive. I'm just bored and feel like talking shit. Calling me defensive implies I actually give a fuck what people on Zoklet think, and really... I don't.

Clearly you do, very much, because you keep typing up all of these bullshit stories and dropping little anecdotes to try and sound hard. You're fake as fuck dude, it's beyond obvious.

I don't rip people off, so I doubt I'd ever be in that situation, but if you did anything like that to me, no matter what the reason, I would most likely kill you. It wouldn't be some melodramatic shit like you seem to like. I'd stake out your house, or one of your clients, and just walk up and shoot you in the head when you made your appearance.

You're probably still here because you beat down highschool shit heads, or more likely, because you are making all of this shit up. No way you beat down anyone with balls, or they would just retaliate. You think you're the only one with friends? The only one with a gun? The only one willing to use it? Guess again.

If you're on the hunt for someone, and constantly checking your back, you might be able to defend yourself for a time. But if you running a business and don't like living under a rock, you will be exposed often, and if anyone wants to kill you, it would be easy as fuck.

Anyways, I'm done with this convo, Its already gone passed the point of retardation. I'll leave you with a little clip from the wire. If you keep fucking with people, someone will do this to you.

The Wire- Omar Kills Savino - YouTube

E: And the point of that video isn't to make more gangster shit prominent. Its to show that if someones hunting you, its damn easy to pull off an ambush. So, its not smart to go around making enemies like that, especially over 50 fucking bucks.
