Romney speaks on the wall street protest

“I think it’s dangerous — this class warfare,” Mr. Romney said.

Anyone else feel like he's trying to say that they should stop protesting? That's certainly what it sounds like to me.
It's dangerous, alright. Dangerous for him. >:P

Re: Romney speaks on the wall street protest
Mitt Romney can make more of a difference than the protesters can. He's got $200 million.

What kind of difference? Leading the country into more suffering? Sure.

Re: Romney speaks on the wall street protest
Well, he DID get that $200 million through a lot of suffering. He was a venture capitalist and LBO specialist. For those of you who don't know what an LBO is, essentially he and a bunch of other investors would buy lagging, undervalued corporations, using the company's assets as collateral. They'd then cut employees, wages, sell off assets that weren't pledged, and the like, boost cash flows, and then sell it for a profit for themselves/take it public.

Cool story.
Now what are some of his best political stances? What are his worst?

He's got experience in the private sector. He's a businessman who doesn't have time for bullshit. (That's what the country needs right now, in the minds of a lot of people).
I'm not that fond of that slick haired son of a bitch myself. He was an asshole about the whole gay marriage thing. But, he did increase benefits for National Guard members, along with getting healthcare taken care of.

The problem with all of his accomplishments is that he now has to renounce them in order to get the Republican nomination.
He would repeal Obamacare.

Lol, Mitt has no problem with flip-flopping/playing games. He's a practical politician.

You don't become wealthy, powerful and respected in America or anywhere else without being corrupt. Why are you so fucking naive?

Its the same reason I fear revolutions because I do have something to lose from them, even though I believe a revolution is necessary for positive change. Its also the same reason why the Gentry feared the masses right before the Revolution. Many were upset with British policies, but they had a lot to lose so they sought to petition the government instead. Of course that didn't work out so well.
Also, like any upper class citizen, he sees the masses as a chaotic mix of baffoons, even if their grievances are agreeable to him, which of course is debatable. Bottom line is, he's scared because he's afraid it can't be contained and could spread into a violence.
Oh and another point. Tach is a piece of shit, but I do have to agree with him. Mit Romney actually does stand a better chance at making change than the masses because he has power, influence, and money. Not saying he's going to actually use them to help others, but it does mean he has a better chance. Its always the elite who ultimately make the changes. Don't let those peaceful protests fool you. Whatever changes occur is a result of elitist reaction to the masses.

Re: Romney speaks on the wall street protest
I know he has a better chance :\
The scales are tipping, though. Slowly, but surely.
I'm not going to slip into a pessimistic attitude though just because the elite have way more control over the masses than the masses themselves. That would only give the elite more power.

I wouldn't say that you're a piece of shit. But you do seem to have the attitude that there is no hope in fighting corruption by simply exposing the corruption. Which is what the protest is doing. Whether it's doing it to the maximum capability or not, is irrelevant.

I think you're a piece of shit because you remind me of a lot of the dumb radical college kids I used to hang around. They were well read and smart, yet completely missed the point on everything they learned. Its like they read something and always came to the wrong conclusions.
They never try to be objective or even consider someone else's viewpoints and it honestly seems that most of their beliefs are driven by this desire to be part of a collective group that argues against things because they want to be different and provocative rather than actually trying to understand the World for what it is.
Its like they completely miss the point in what it means to be academically driven. The point of reading and seeking knowledge is to try better the World and the only way to do that is to understand what it is right now so that accommodations can be made to bridge the gap between now and later. The people I hung around didn't get that. Instead, they locked themselves up in their own little World and started criticizing everyone about how wrong they were.
They're a bunch of idealistic shit heads who think they're going to change the world at revolutionary speeds when in reality, they're annoying as fuck, which deters people from even wanting to listen to them. They're never going to make change because they fail to understand the condition of society and their role within it.
Not saying you're one of these people but your words definitely remind me of those people. So, I guess its not fair to call you a piece of shit since I really don't know you. Its just that sometimes your posts are so ridiculous, I can't help but get a little peeved. In reality, I simply disagree with most of your viewpoints.
...I wonder what your assessment is of me based on my words, alone?
