In before mac fanboy mass seppuku. A shame though. I might not be too crazy about apple computers, but just from a purely aesthetic point of view he's led the company and their products in a hell of an influential and positive direction. Ah well, let's see how their stock holds up tomorrow

That's weird man, I totally heard that he had it and then forgot. Shows how disconnected we are as a culture, that you can be totally shocked hearing the news of someone's death who you knew was dying from cancer.

He was an American entrepreneurial folk hero. I hate Macintosh as much as the next guy, but Jobs was rags-to-riches self made man. Plus he had good business sense if he was able to compete with Microsoft for so many years.

He did more than compete, he innovated in new markets. If Microsoft had put as much into the mobile market game as Apple did back in the early 2000s, the world as we know it would be changed. He was truly an insane example of an entrepreneur in this sense.

Well, on the chance that you're serious, Jobs, along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, founded Apple computers. Steve Wozniak dropped out after making his fortune and went on to do things like putting the US festivals in LA in the 80's. Ronald Wayne sold his 10% share of Apple a few weeks after it's founding for $800. That 10% todays would be worth - or so I read - 35 billion. That's gotta hurt.
