Default Call of Duty Modern 2

Anyone else Excited for this?

I played a few of the other CoD games, but never really thought they were anything special. Then CoD4 came along and I was like WTF? no more nazis/russians/etc? About fuckin time!

I found it to be a very enjoyable game for those times that I just want to shoot things. Plus it is one of the few modern shooters that they don't completely fuck up the weapons. Hopefully Modern Warfare 2 will continue to deliver the FPS awesomeness without fucking something up...

Yes, I'm really excited about it. It will be GOTY, and I will play it until Modern Warfare 3 comes out.

They are all the same, and modern locals are not that much interesting than the beat-in-to-the-ground WWII. I find no interest in the 'brown spectrum,' and the SAS levels were gimmick after gimmick (Which was fine and theatrical at some points, but success in that area is few and far between)

I am no more interested in this than I was with COD5 (Which I enjoyed, but I did not like forward to) and COD4 (Same story)

And if they use the same engine, it's going to be doubly disappointing, as it's really just the same game with new levels.

That's all I want really. New maps for on-line, and some new perks and such. I've had COD 4 since it came out and never once played the single player campaign.

I mean like transportation on maps, call in a heli to pick you up and drop you off here.

In cod4 a 4man crew in a hummer would be amazing fun on a map but an EASY target. Grenades are already woah check it ANTI GRAVITY! as you throw it over the 3 houses. Scratch that I thought about it again and how pissed I would be in the end vehicles is a bad, bad idea.

We all thought tanks would be an easy target in World At War, but let's look at how that turned out?

I only played a couple hours on World at War on single player so cant say much for cod5 but I despise the japs that were faking dead and would charge me after I passed them and stab you in the back! It works not going to lie but god damn got annoying lol, you know being able to reincarnate and retry life and all.

and aye to the name : Modern Warfare 2

I really liked the way the green squiggly line bounced up and down like it was moving with the voice. Awesome preview.

Here's to hoping it will be more of the same: A cinematic, scripted, linear FPS experience with a variety of locations and memorable action sequences.

When do I get Call of Duty in Vietnam? I want to see a bunch of Vietnamese being napalmed and their bubbled skin being slid off the bone like a toasted marshmallow.

That and head shots would be OH so satisfying.

Only as long as Treyarch doesn't make it. Fuck World At War.

The teaser makes it seem as though you aren't a traditional soldier, but more like a guerrilla fighter or mobster, someone who fights in public places.

I don't think we'll see anything like that for a long while. We were hardly the heroes in that war, it'd be a hard sell to the public. There was one game I remember where you were a soldier in the Vietnam war and it got a bit...distasteful. Something about shooting an asian guy in the face and a fellow soldier yelling out 'Die gooks!" *shifts uncomfortably in seat*

Yeah, there's always been a trend that Vietnam games suck. They just do. Shellshock, Conflict: Vietnam, Vietcong, and even Battlefield: Vietnam wasn't that great. So if they're going to try and make a Vietnam game, they're going to have to fucking work. It'll end up having some really dark undertones, considering we got mindfucked by the Charlies, but I'm be interesting in playing it.
