Classic EverQuest, full of pvp and awesome. Project 1999 is an EQ emulator, and as someone who has played countless MMOs I can say in all honesty that this is the best gaming experience available right now. It's a simple fact.

This has been in beta for a while now, and everyone is waiting impatiently for the live release. P99 is the most successful emu around, with an average amount of 500ish players playing at once on their PvE server.

I played for a while but got kind of bored of it because I've already played so much in the past. Its an awesome game, especially after playing more modern games you will be like holy shit this is hard. I may reinstall if someone wants to start a zoklet guild lol, but right now I just got a free month of Anarchy Online so I've been playing that.

I'm in if someone teaches me how to join the server for free. The last game I played was Half Life(the original one, lul) so I have no fuckig clue on how to do this.

I paid $14 for another month subscription to WoW and they didn't let me log into the damn game for some stupid reason. So I'm like "fuck this shit" and cancelled the subscription.

Hopefully this MMO will be better. I remember playing EQ when I was 16 and had a lot of fun. I hope I can revisit the nostalgia again.

Iksar came out in Kunark, the first expansion. You'll be able to make iksar on pvp server 4-6 months after server goes live.

These servers are progression servers. PvE server has been out a while, and they're nearing the end of the first expansion. Second expansion will release there early next year I bet.

PvP server hasn't even started yet. It will start as classic EQ, before any expansions were added. Max level 50. 4-6 months after server releases, the firsts expansion will be introduced on this server. Max level goes to 60, new zones/items are added, and a new race (Iksar) is introduced.

EDIT: Yeah, pvp server goes live nov. 18. I'm excited!

It's fucking unforgiving. When you die, you have to go find your corpse as a naked fef with no weapons

and past level 5 when you die, you lose a huge bit of exp. can be very frustrating, but the difficulty is a big part of what makes the game so great. modern mmos feel so watered down and childish in comparison :/

I can help you out some tomorrow if you're online then, if you want. I don't have any characters on blue (pve) but I know the game well and can show you where to go, what to collect and stuff. If you want to play beta pvp, they have exp cranked to x10 and I have a 50 cleric. I could follow you around to keep you buffed/healed, and give an item and some money. no iksar though

i notice that game developers start off copying real life then progressively "improve gameplay" so that it can be marketed to more and more people. These improvements do terrible things to game immersion...im so high right now

There's no need to restart. You get 5 every level, and eventually you'll have so many you won't know what to do with them.

I always max sense heading, but I do it by binding the skill so it goes off when i turn left. It's nice having a compass.

is it really theoretically possible to max out all your crafting skills?

so i can punch bats in the face and make a hat

then punch skeletons in the face and make a bow

then fucking kill a bear and run around in a bear suit etc.

It won't let you force points into crafting that way after a certain skill level. You need to get crafting skill up by crafting. And you can get them all to 200 skill, but you can only take one skill above 200.

Well, Eve Online is the only MMO in existence. There is nothing massive about evergay or any other so called "MMO".
