No proof of god BUT proof of the devil?

Well I was thinking about god and such ( and a good example is a post back on TOTSE of some kid who posted that hey prayed to god so the teacher wouldnt check his homework and the teacher skipped him, Someone else than posted " yea god helped the teacher pass you but will give a child Aids")

So that post got me to thinking that there is no proof of god BUT there is proof of the devil?

And since one cannot exist without the other is that not proof?

It's been theorized (by various theologians, addressing the Problem of Evil) that all the calamity and madness and vileness in the world, is simply the absence of God, due to ye of little faith, or whatever. Discuss.

In the Hebrew Bible, the devil didn't serve the purpose you think he did. He was entirely subordinate to God, his job was to test people, try to tempt them into sin, to educate them... in God's strange, idiosyncratic way. But the figure of the devil was entirely bound by the will of God (Cf. Job ii. 6).

yes they say that evil results from lack of light. as for the aids... the people who believe in reincarnation say that we go through a series of lives; in the very first ones we learn the basics of life on this planet, like how to survive. they say that people choose to incarnate in places where life is difficult (like where i child might get aids) in order to learn. then in the next life when they have that under their belt, they can go on to different places. they say we choose where and when to incarnate knowing full well how difficult that life might be.
