It woulda been boring as shit anyway *sour grapes*, but it's always been something we've all wanted - to play a level or an entire locale in a videogame that's set somewhere familiar to us. Especially the sandbox (and zombie) genre.

really, GTA games need to be set in shitholes like those London or Chicago or Portland or Los Angeles to be any good fun. Might be some of the reason why the New York set GTA: IV was dull. Then again, the clear best title in the series was set in Miami during it's heyday. Melbourne would have been way better suggestion than Sydney, even though Sydney is fucken sick, and although both have bikies, notorious gangs and sections, shitloads of drug consumption (statistically highest in the world for certain drugs) and violence etc..

..it's not quite right. IMHO.


EDIT: Actually it claimed to be set in the 70's. That actually would have been pretty badass.

I can't say anything on whether or not the fellow in question is a stupid little teenager. In text, the specific emphasis required for clear sarcasm, which is apparently what he was going for, actually is hard to achieve. Chinatown Wars has been good to me so far. Kind of a mix of GTA's 2 and 4 with a better sense of humor than any other game in the series that I've played so far.

It's the only GTA game where I didn't get bored with the missions early on...
