Is my cat retarded?

I have a large orange and white cat, and over the past few years I've noticed changes in his behaviour, like acting aggressive towards other cats for no reason and ramming his head on the legs of tables and chairs. But by far the most unusual thing he does is picking up slippers (and sometimes shoes), walking up stairs with them in his mouth, dropping them on the floor and meowing as if he caught a mouse . Sometimes I'll find a pile of four slippers in the middle of the living room. Do any other cats do this; or is mine particularly retarded?

The rubbing it's head on shit has to do with marking it's territory and showing dominance, I think.

The slipper thing is pretty weird. My friends dog does this. Just pet her and tell her she's a good kitty when she does it, she's just trying to bring you a present.
