Default Suppressor triumphant

So I finally had my muzzle adaptor coupling rebuilt, this time from 416 steel, and the nut doubled in thickness, everything properly heat treated, and went to test it today.
25 rounds were fired succesfully without malfunction. The adaptor is so hard now that it etched a step into the front sight of the Luger, but it held on tight.

On another note, I also sent off my M1911 to be refinished and repaired, expect pictures soon.

Seeing as we are on topic, would anyone care to discuss a bit as to what, in their experience, is the best baffle shape?
I'm trying to produce something radically better for my future .45 suppressor, something that can be as quiet as an air rifle, if possible. I'm aiming high, but still, maybe it could be done.

If you want I have a few PDFs I can dig up for you and fire em off your way.

That or I could just post the names for you but there's quite the selection of this and that.

PM me with your msn and I'll send em through there.

And grats on your successful firings.

Al

[Edit]
Looks like I have about 520 MBs of PDF files on hand... some of them are doubles but they range from few and far between and my files aren't 100% organized so there's a possibility of more (15 years of files not organized... about 200 some odd GB I gotta go through)

[EDIT 2]
All right I came across 80 + different silencer patents and after some sorting 28 different how to publicized manuals and one MP3 program... so far...
Total after weeding out the doubles is 381MB.

Other than that I'm heading to sleep cause I'm full of molested goodness for being tired... PM me with your msn or whatever.

Al

I was reading an article on a suppressed AR a while back and it had a two position gas block on it that changed gas flow through the tube. I would think it would function correctly it would just be rough on the internals if you ran a suppressor and didn't restrict it some. Or am I thinking ass backward. What about a blowback or recoil operated semi-auto. Say you got a threaded barrel for your 1911 and just stuck a suppressor on it without changing anything would it function properly. Just a few things I always wondered but never really asked.

I believe I've got that in a PDF for the suppressed AR.

As it stands I've gotten a couple requests to send the files. I've been trying to get a torrent working but for some reason things keep getting fucked to all 13 hells... Probably my old shit computer since my good one blew to shit. :S

I'll be online for MSN all night tonight so those who have sent me a message try to catch me online and I'll send the files to you and the first person I send them to if possible turn them into a torrent for me and post it for others if I can't get it working by then.

I think you need one of those booster thing (neilson device?) which, as i understand it, is kinda like a reverse muzzle brake that fits inside the can and increases recoil so the slide will work properly.

Chewing up bandwidth.

I got a couple extra files not there but they're all mixed to hell on my external.

If you need "Alternate plans" let me know via PM and I'll see what I can do by sending it over MSN.

Just to warn you though it may take some time for me to slooth them out.
All ready sent some extra to LavaRed so I'm pretty sure he can vouch for my computers shittyness.
