See, this is EXACTLY wtf I'm Talking about! It took me just about 5 hours to DL this. Averaging about 160 kbps. WHAT THE FUCK am I doing wrong? I DL'd on my laptop. 2.4GHz, 4GB Ram. Cable internet. Brand new on Christmas.

How far away are you from your regional exchange? And were you dling during peak use period?

Don't know how far I am from the regional exchange? How would I find that out. I'm near the intersection of [Redacted] if you know how to find that info out. Kinda smack dab in the middle of it all. Hell, I'm only about 2 miles from the University of [Redacted]. And as far as peak period, probably. DL'd from 4:30 to 9:30pm.

Still though, I've never had a DL go faster than 160-180 Kbs.

I've got no clue about locations in the US, call your local service center and ask where your nearest IXP is for your location - the farther away you are the worse speeds you will get, even with a 'highspeed' connection, because most ISPs just wind up hiring or even just paying to share the lines and equipment from an existing telco.

Got it. Thanks. And there's no way to fix this other than switching my ISP is there? What would you say are "good" distance ranges are. I'm gonna call them right now.

UPDATE: They have no idea where the exchange is (go figure). Apparently I have a 1.5 Mb line, which seems to me I should be getting like around 300Kbps DL's. They tried to blame it on my router, until I told them I jacked in DIRECTLY with no change in speed. They are going to send a tech out to check it. Yay! It'll only be the 50th (litterally) time a Comcast tech has been at my house this year. I don't like people fucking about around here. Shit could be taken the wrong way. These poor techs don't realize if they peek over the wrong door, or look around the wrong curtain, they will end up in a hole in my basement. Covered in concrete and carpet before their family even knows they won't be home for dinner, or ever again.

How much of a heads up do you want?! I don't come here very often me friend, and I kind of expect people to look after their own interests most of the time. Sure, a nod in the right direction is always appreciated, but I have most definitely done that...!

Firstly, this has been brewing for about 4 years or so and, due to the wonders of modern technology, these days people can actually travel out of their local area in order to go to whatever show/gig/film/orgy/etc that they want... Fuckin sweet right!?

Secondly, if you actually paid attention in class, you would have noticed many people (including myself) getting VERY excited the whole idea from the start. In fact, I may personally have been first to post the trailer and website way back when. I may not, and don't really care - just thought I would throw it in the mix. I was certainly chasing it up down all around, trying not to hit the ground...

I'm not ashamed to admit that things happened to me when it finally hit the scene, after our local good shepherd slipped his dirty picture out of that bag...

And now, it's available for a few bucks on Amazon FFS man!

Yeah, been in possesion of the labnotes for a couple of years now. The thing with the film is, yes, I've been following it for at least 3 years, but all I ever see or notice on the web is/was certain screenings in major cities and fucked up places like Seacaucus or some random mall in Fargo, and shit like that.
