Postal III is a really bad game

This is the only review yet that I know of, but I am disappoint. Even though it was pretty buggy and flawed, I still had a shitload of fun with Postal 2. All I wanted was Postal 2 with better graphics and physics, and more lulzy weapons.

Turns out that even though this game has been in development for quite a while, it's really really bad. Much worse than Postal 2 apparently. Also, to make things even more ridiculous, you can't even buy it directly on Steam because RWS didn't get it classified. So you have to buy a Steam key from RWS, then download it from Steam lol.

I'm probably gonna torrent it to check it out still though. I didn't expect this game to actually be GOOD, but I expected it to not be a broken and unplayable pile of shit. This disappoints me greatly.

I'm glad I didn't waste my money on this game.

Whenever I try and play Postal 2 online it only ever shows two or three servers. When I refresh the list I get a new list of 2-3 servers, it never shows all of them at once.

Also did you play the Apocalypse Weekend and A Week In Paradise expansions??

The Week In Paradise mod adds loads of new weapons, samurai sword, chainsaw . I cant remember the rest as I havent played it in a while.

Yikes. I watched a good bit of that, right up til they were messing with the cats. I'm already disappointed. It looks like they took all the bits that were wrong with Postal 2, and amplified them - or at least didn't fix them. It looks like a 2003-2005 game, with stupid glitches and a gimmicky third person view, and wonkier physics and gameplay. I remember the gasoline and fire mechanics working way better in P2, this video shows how clumsy it's become. I mean, burning those zombies should've been a thousand times easier than it was.

All those cut scenes are mildly annoying. Some of the humour is still there, which seems to be the only redeeming feature, but honestly I think I'd rather just reinstall Postal 2.

Honestly I think those guys are retarded. They aren't playing Postal like a ravenous, kill hungry 13 year old so they forgot they don't need to conserve their ammo. The nigger was dropping tiny little pools of gas, rather than trying to pour the whole thing on the fuckers like any good little Postal fan would.

His buddy even says "I think you're being a bit conservative with the gas" or some shit. I'm going to go pirate it and I imagine I'll enjoy it just as much as Postal 2. I guarantee you the gasoline mechanic is not as broken as it looks from that video though - I think they were just doin' it wrong.

This game looks fucking horrible, I was hoping it might actually be ok but that's a definite "not buy" after watching the gameplay.

EDIT: Finished watching the whole 50 mins of gameplay and it looks terrible, not just because those people obviously couldn't get a grip on the basic gameplay (I wasn't even playing and I could work out that spraying the catnip on the cat wasn't working!), but it looks like a horrible, glitchy and unfunny game that had broken AI and basic gameplay mechanics.

That's kinda what I thought about Postal 2, but in this day in age especially since they were using the fucking Source engine, there shouldn't be that many game-breaking bugs. Like I said before, I didn't expect it to actually be good but I didn't think it would be this terrible either. I was at least hoping it would be decently open-world. Postal 2 was open-world similarly to how the original Deus Ex was, and it worked really well. It looks like Postal III is just linear...?

I seriously would've been satisfied with the same gameplay as Postal 2, glitches and all, but with nicer graphics and physics, but from everything I've seen they took out stuff that was good about Postal 2 and made the glitches worse, almost like they made this game terrible on purpose just to troll people. My thinking is that Running With Scissors got too distracted by drugs, partying, etc and were too fucked up to actually make a not-broken game.

I'm still gonna torrent it sometime though, I want to check it out anyway since I've been waiting for this game since I first played Postal 2. HOPEFULLY, since this is a Source engine game, the community can fix it with mods. Somehow I doubt anyone will care enough though.

I read that they're releasing a patch to enable free-roam. Hopefully it'll improve the game somewhat.
