Default Fire Science and Fire Engineering

I've always been pretty interested in these topics and even though i already have a degree and a decent job, I think i'm going to go to get a certification in this. I think it would be interesting to go work for the Federal Park Service and study forest fire patterns for a couple years, then maybe get back into my career in the my 30s.
Anyone know anyone with a degree or certification in fire science or engineering?

My current degree is in chemistry.
