how often do you guys actually get std tested?

this time i didn't for 8 months and felt really irresponsible. usually follow the 6 month protocol. came out clean though

go to your doc and ask to get tested.

or go to a clinic and ask to get tested.

For me they ask for a piss cup, get blood tested, and then like once a year i think a pap smear (this part i do not like.)

I've never done it. I've only slept with two people- both I am/was in long term relationships with.

My ex was clean as was I, as we lost our virginity together.

I know I probably should now, with this new guy that I've been seeing for a while. He's slept with a lot of girls. I haven't seen any signs, but with a lot of STDs you can't tell (for girls).

It's better to be safe than sorry. Some guys don't have side effects either and just keep passing it on.

And some side effects don't show up for years, or until you figure out you're sterile.

honestly it's only the first time you get tested it's stressful. i was nervous as hell and panicked for three weeks out of pure paranoia until all my results came in. now they're hardly as bad.
