Rant Has anyone succesfully printed an ID with the Epson Artisan 50?

I've been trying to figure this out and i installed the cd that came with the printer. Then i installed the epson r260 driver for windows 7 32 bit after which i went to my devices, selected the artisan 50 and changed it to the r260 driver under the advanced tab.

But after this i try to print and it just something on the lines of "attempting to connect to a unrecognized device" and nothing happens.

can anyone offer any help?

Have you tried doing all that under Windows XP? I think the guide to installing the R260 drivers over the top was before Windows 7's time..

I just picked up one of these and the way you print while having windows 7 is as follows.

Install the T50 driver, then download and uncompress the R260 driver somewhere that you can find easily.

Then edit the this file E_GF1BNA.inf, this is the driver information file, now do a replace all on the words R260 and change it to T50.

Now go to manual driver installation and chose that file.

Bam your done, now you just select your 'T50' driver and your done, easy peasy.
