So, anyone else have the nuts to sing in front of people?

Just got back from clubbing around, hopping back and forth while I waited for my turn. It's a lot of fun, and apparently I'm really good at Dean Martin.

I do some Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, The Strokes, Dean, tried Sinatra, and a few others that don't come to mind.

Too bad they don't give me free beers for my warbling bringing in customers.

I do it when im really fucking wankered. But normally the 'noise' of someone destroying a perfectly nice song pisses me off when im just trying to have a normal drink. So then i end up drinking more, then singing. I then hate myself for it.

Also you gotta choose the gayest song you can find for the laughs, Livin la vida loca....

I sing karaoke every single Wednesday with a few friends of mine.

I usually do a lot of Led Zeppelin, Don Henley, Aerosmith, Bush, and Beatles but I like to mix it up from time to time.

Well, haters can kindly gtfo because the Army guy and his Marine wife won't let you mock singers. (One night he made a guy piss his pants by blocking the bathroom door and then made fun of the guy on the mic) That or just drink and suffer until last call.

It's a decent thrill, especially with how bad my anxiety was after not doing it for almost 2 months and not having more than 3 beers in me. Gonna do it again Monday.

Also, you girls really ought to practice singing or at least not sound like fucking banshees when you get up there. Then again, my arm-trophy friend used to sing opera so I'm a little spoiled.

The thing is, it is only fun if you participate. I don't go hang out in karaoke bars unless I'm going to sing. Otherwise I'd much rather have a decent jukebox.

I've only done it once and it wasn't at a bar. I was just yanked towards some karaoke machine at some womens jewelry party thing by some girls boyfriend, had a mic shoved into my hands and I proceeded to scream out "You gotta fight, for your right" by the Beastie Boys and "Waterfalls" by TLC... It was pretty fun for how trashed I was.
