No matter what mood I'm in, I love hearing about crazy shit happening to the US. People here treat each other like shit and kick em when they're down. I only feel as if I am a product of my environment and don't feel bad when crazy shit happens to this country. I can't help it, I like seeing this shit.

But it has been getting boring lately. No terrorist attacks, no more war, not even many rampage shootings. I was hoping that being an election year and all, that some big shit would hit the fan and go down.

Instead, I get a capsized boat and some asshole that blew up his kids and himself in his house. This year is off to a bad start.

I don't think they are fakes, just that they can't conceive of a world where everything is gone completely to shit, and that they can't revel in that.

Depends on how nihilistic I'm feeling. Sometimes I just want to see the world crash and burn around me. Other times I can actually appreciate the beauty in life, just walking around outside and experiencing the true beauty of nature, it boggles my mind sometimes. Or how many good people are actually out there. I'm trying to be more positive in this world. It gets hard though.

I'm the same way. It all depends on my mood. Some days I'm way too cynical and others I appreciate everything around me.
