This place isn't what it used to be.
It's like that prepubescent girl you're certain of will be a stunner when she's of legal age, but turned out fat and hideous.

Re: This place isn't what it used to be.
a decent thread is few and far between for me :/ i really bring nothing to the table. my main hobby is magic the gathering and cooking.
i dont really know enough about cooking yet to make any good threads and no one here wants me to rant about magic.

well i didnt grow up with it. ive only been playing since about 3-4 years ago.
all my friends played yugioh in middle and high school and i used to make fun of them for it all the time and after everyone went to college and i was living in a trailor park owned by my friend(it was literally a small community of just my friends). they started playing magic after we all moved there.
i looked at it and thought it was just like yugioh and instantly belittled and hated it. one day we were at a buddies house out of town and he also played apparently and because i didnt drive that day i was stuck there and they said we wouldnt go home till i played a game with them and just tried it.
i gave and absolutely loved it. it felt like chess to me but with more pieces. i love the learning curve and skill level. it was a game i could play with my friends and when we were not playing we would be collecting. the local gaming store owner says my collection now has surpassed his stores. i easily have ten thousand dollars in cards and my most expensive is 600 bucks.
thanks to this game ive made a lot more friends than i ever thought i would and even met my now girlfriend and future wife through this game.
over all its a well thought out game and great fun to play. the only downside is it can sometimes be too expensive to get what you want or need but you can still have fun on a budget.

In terms of trailer park hobbies; Magic-based card games < Meth.
10,000$ for cardboard, that could be so much meth!~!~!~

Oklahoma has more meth houses per square feet than anywhere in America if I recall correctly.
