Like I've said before on this topic, the only thing that's ultimately interesting is how most people have no trouble imagining Obama as the type of man who would have no personal, ethical problem whatsoever in trying to become president even if he's not qualified.

You would think that would be what's interesting to most people, but most people are only interested in proving one way or another that he is or isn't an American citizen, as if this were all some sort of excercise in legal academics.

This is like going after Al Capone for tax evasion. No one is surprised in the least that Al Capone would be the type of person to engage in tax evasion, but to actually try to nail him for that is... just weird and weak, considering the kind of case that could have been built against him if enough people were actually serious.

If politics were halfway as serious as they should be, there should have been no way in hell that a person like Obama could have gotten anywhere near being nominated, let alone elected in the first place. But, since most people seem intent on treating all of this like a joke, it's been one... and the joke is on us.

It doesn't matter who the president is. Nothing gets done, no issues are resolved, and my taxes remain stupidly high for the level of services we get. Except for when i went to war, which i did voluntarily, no aspect of who is in power makes a goddamn bit of difference in my day to day life. To the point where it's obvious that being the president under our system is a figurehead position. We're ruled by bankers and industrial capitalists under the guise of lobbyists.

Resistance movements and assassinations are done by people with nothing to lose, my life is pretty sweet conversely. Vote 3rd party and try and get your friends and family to do the same. When they say that no 3rd party candidate has a chance, even though they agree with them, point out that everyone else you know has said the exact same thing. Well. That is why people mention a breaking point.

When you have a force pushing in some direction, such as life trying to live, happily. And you have some kind of restriction on that (think KKK to black society), there is only so much of "oh well" that can be done until the requirement for something new and the increasingly visible perspective of the oppressive nature of the restrictions come to a kind of singularity.

Then the want for change and the requirement of the restrictions both become maximized until one gives. It's like an incremental progression towards something that no one wanted, based upon two conflicting ideological entities existing in the same space, attempting to utilize the same resources.

What I think is that is love, for sure, solves this situation of hate and not being able to accept one another to the point where we would rather have a world that is full of suffering. But in the political system, it would simply be the truth.

There is no political view that can save people, that doesn't treat the people in higher regard than they are currently treating corporations and (global) capitalists in today's society.

The amount of control has to be shared, so that the breaking point does not exceed the critical limit.

This is when you see perceived change.

Now decide right now, whether all the change history that you have witnessed in corporate, capital and mainstream society has been leading towards a more efficient system or not. And who has been benefiting the most from such a system.
