Sign up for credit cards for promotional offer

Amazon always offers me 30 bucks off my purchase if I sign up for their Visa card, I'm sure there are other retailers that have deals like that.

I am good at not carrying a balance on my cards, so what do you think about signing up for cards for those deals and then not using them again until they close your account or cancel them after a couple months?

yeah and then you can just get a new card to pay off the old ones!

You would be better off getting a quality cash back credit card or a quality points credit card.
