What about using two pliers to bend it so the pin falls out? I've seen videos of this on youtube and it looks like it works but I haven't tried it yet. Anyone else tried it?

So what's the difference between the sensormatic tags and the gator tag? I thought they looked pretty much the same....

this message is for all the fucking retards who think its impossible to make your own sensormatic hook.
have any of you guys ever ripped apart a super tag?
i guess not.
for people like me who like making things rather then buying them, it would be nice to have a little support rather then just hearing no its impossible to make your own. thats bullshit. look at the hooks, its a piece of metal shaped like a "C". easily duplicated in your own home.
i opened one one time with a strong piece of bent wire.
took about a minute.
no hook or key required.
i appreciate helping vinnie out, im all for that, but dont say its impossible and not worth your time because it is worth your time. i would love to save 50$ on anything i could. the actual replacement hook that stores need for their guns, is definitely legit, but its not needed..especially for 50 dollars.

im not trying to start any fights on here or anything but for all the youngsters like me,15, its annoying hearing the same thing over and over again. what if i dont want to buy a legit hook? ill make my own. and thats what im doing.

dont get discouraged by all these people trying to help out the dealers if youre trying to make your own. its possible. ive done it and it works.

Went to Kohls, they got new tags that dont have the hole for sensormatic hooks now. But they are still vulnerable to magnets. A $1.50 DealExtreme magnet will do the trick. Youll probably see more and more of these small tags without the sensormatic hook hole if all Kohls are now using them.
