Can anyone else chug Vodka?

Fuck no.. I cant even go near vodka anymore, that was all we drank in highschool, too many nights of getting wasted to the point of being sick for days. Whiskey is my shit now, mostly I drink jameson irish whiskey. The thought of a warm shot of vodka makes my stomach turn.

I'm the exact opposite, really. when I first turned 21 and started drinking heavily, I would pick up a pint of cheap vodka (usually komchatka) on my way to parties and sip it straight out of the bottle until it was gone and then try to get people to break the bottle over my head (no-one would ever do it).

now if I take even a sip of straight vodka, I instantly throw up. I guess it's my body remembering all of the bad experiences and rejecting it.

I have no need or desire to chug any sort of liquor. But can I drink it straight, hell yes, no problem there. I can do so with Whiskey, Vodka, Rum, etc.. There is no burn what so ever, unless its cheap bottom of the barrel sort of shit.

I found recently that the best way to take a shot is to make sure you dont get any air in your mouth as you do it, sip it back slowly and carefully and it goes down smooth. If you end up getting a gulp of air with it though it burns alot more, or so it seems anyways.

lol @ 5 or 6 shots. Not trying to sound like an alcoholic here but 6 shots barely gets me to threshold. To be legit drunk I need nearly a half liter or more. That's from drinking everyday for less than a month

Now alcohol makes me retch if it tastes even remotely alcoholic. Anything over 5% and it's a chore to drink.

Same, a year ago that amount would make me nearly puke and make the world a blurring spinning mess, now just feel happy with that amount, seem totally sober to everyone else... not even 3x that amount makes me feel sick or dizzy now. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I felt even remotely sick from alcohol.... must try harder

Back in my extreme drinking days I could chug pretty much anything. See women are pretty good at opening their throats & letting Shit go down easily. But now with 2 kids I.don't have the time or the need to drink like that so no way could I do it anymore.

He is a war vet or something. People told me he was somewhat normal before he went to war but he's anything BUT now. He came to a party I for a friend who was coming back from the army and drank at least 4 bottles of vodka in like 3 hours or less. If i remember correctly my senior year was when he started making such a fuss, and he was so ridiculous even the student veteran associating (or whatever the fuck theyre called) even kicked him out. I can't even imagine how hard you must have to drink to be able to stomach that. I thought I drank hard but he must have been drinking REAL hard for a bunch of years. Even then, it takes a certain type of crazy to stomach the taste of a bottle of vodka. Don't get me wrong I could drink a bottle of vodka in an hour and be really fucked up but coherent and walking, but actually CHUGGING and entire bottle is nuts. Sooner or later the NYS "mental health" system is going to snatch him off the street and youll never hear from him again

Idk, I've been drinking for several months straight now and my tolerance has only barely increased as to the level that it takes for me to feel it on an empty stomach. If I take six shots within about an hour of each other (and these are the first six shots of the day, and I just woke up with no food) then I'm probably going to lay right the fuck back down.

I have noticed that my endurance has increased though.

also, i just chugged a glass of vodka. ok, a small glass. 200mL. not nearly as good as that dude that chugged a bottle in 15 seconds, but i'll get there, one day. honestly i think i could do it right now since the taste of cheap vodka doesn't disgust me anymore, it's like it's become a necessary evil for me and the end justifies the means in my case
