Sheriff Deputy and the law... help

So I've been staying at my moms for a few days because she wanted to see me...

so lately she has been dating this sheriff's deputy from another county and he wanted me to help him do a few shingles on a shed. Long story short I had to do a paper that is due tomorrow and I NEEDED to get it done. So my mom bitched at me and I went out to help him. He got pissed and told me I should have came out earlier. Then he started insulting me. I said whatever and walked away. Then he began to taunt me and I turned around and said "Fuck you," and "Suck my dick you fucking asshole." He then began to climb off the roof and I went inside where I still keep a few things. I heard him come in and I grabbed my katana and he kicked in the door. He said "Come on tough guy let's see what you got!" I aimed the sword for his stomach just to keep him back. Then he grabbed my guitar and began swinging it so I used my jedi powers and used the sword to protect myself.

I am left with a bent sword, a guitar with chips in it, and an injured hand. He also gave me a bit of a shiner and my neck hurts where he punched it.

My question is, what should I do? Press charges?

It should help since he isn't in his jurisdiction, and what if I did run him though to protect myself? What would I be facing?

Uhm.. well you kind of instigated it... you might be able to get away with an attempted assault? If you know any lawyers call one and just ask what he would be facing in this case. Or just call 911 and let them deal with it.

Call your local law enforcement office and if nothing else file a report. He wasn't on duty when the incident occurred, so his command probably won't care. You might consider asking if your local guys will forward the report to his department. If you're so inclined, you can file for a restraining order against a law enforcement officer. You'll also need to talk to your mother about the situation if you haven't already.

You'd be facing a really long court case with a very uncertain outcome.

How old are you OP and if underage follow through with charges. "You feared for your life" as long as you didn't initiate the attack.

Other than that I'd just poison the prick and hope nobody gets suspicious.

Or you could just fuck with him but remember 10/10 times cops are always right so make sure there's some CCTVs around and prepare for a long court battle as video and audio evidence is nothing nest to what a cop says and what a cop does.
