OK mods, please explain to me the point of this thread... even when I was a newbie I don't think I had to post here. And I fail to see why making only Bad Ideas have some random requirement like this. Won't stop "spam" or dumb posts, I actually reckon that these days we have less pure crap than when I played moderator of this place.

its quicker to click a few people in 1 thread than to go through each unproved post.

It is not a requirement, but helps week out a few of the unwanteds. Also shows someone is reading, not just posting whatever. Better chance if they are reading that they will also read the Rules of BI in the slack time between account approval
