FS: $100 amazon.com gift card for $75

I have three $100 amazon.com gift cards for sale. These are the email vouchers, not the plastic cards. I received them as rewards last year for my credit card. But as I'm living in Thailand now and they can only be used in the USA, they aren't much use to me. I'm looking to sell them for $75 each. Payment accepted by PayPal.

Since I've never sold in the trading pit before, I am willing to send the voucher first to any mod or well respected board member that would like to purchase them. Otherwise, for both of our protection I would need you to send payment first via PayPal and then I will send you the voucher.

Umm, because they are? If they weren't legit, I wouldn't be offering to sell them. For argument's sake, let's say you decide to buy them and send me money via PayPal. I send you the gift card codes and they don't work. You could then easily open a dispute with PayPal and get your money back. So what would I gain from selling fake gift cards?

Doesn't necessarily work like that. It isn't hard to make a paypal account and then wip the money straight out of it. Then, even when the dispute gets opened, there is no money there for you to lose.

But PayPal would still refund the money even if the seller ran off with it. Also, it takes 24-48 hours before PayPal clears a funds transfer. That's plenty of time to open a dispute if the codes didn't work (which they do).

No. Paypal would not refund my money if you sent the codes via email. It must be sent via mail with shipping confirmation or else it would not to be protected. I know how it works.

Really? I'm pretty sure that PayPal is in the habit of siding with the buyer, regardless of what their buying or how it was shipped. I've been ripped off many times by buyers filing complaints from stuff I sold on eBay, AFTER I sent it to them.

Ok. First things first. Not saying that you are scamming, just picking holes in the argument. I believe that you are legit, you have the contributor star and a pretty long term membership, so just for the sake of discussion.

Paypal sends internal funds almost instantly. I send funds to you, you have it in not much more than a minute, if that. All you have to do is move that out of your account before I ask for the refund. What happens then? Your paypal balance will either go into the negative, or will refuse the refund/delay it. You still keep the money transferred out of the account into another one.
It is also very easy to make a paypal account, just make an email and you're done. All you have to do is make this random account, have someone pay to it, and then swap the money out as soon as you can. After that, or instead of swapping it out of that account, spend it on some ebay item or something, money GONE.

All that said, I do believe that you are genuine. I would actually buy one, but I am in Australia, so I can't use it

Considering that I haven't sold the codes yet outside of the one I sold IRL, no one. But it clearly states in the first post of the topic, "I am willing to send the voucher first to any mod or well respected board member that would like to purchase them".

Like I said before, I am also in discussion with a mod at the moment and might be selling the 2 codes to him. If he decides to purchase them, then I will be happy to send the codes first.

Actually, I was one of the last few who got a working flight and hotel from AtYourService before he disappeared.

I don't have an eBay account here in Thailand, only a verified PayPal account. Also, I've had a lot of bad experiences with selling to people on eBay.

Unless it is specifically noted somewhere in the transaction that the goods are intangible, he'll get his money back. PP will just ask for a tracking #, seller can't provide one, PP sides with the buyer.

It takes weeks for the process to complete though.

LOL gift cards are intangible. Unless they were shipped physically with a tracking number, Paypal will not cover it. I know this because I've gone through this process.
