Looks like Dark Souls is being ported to PC

Lots of speculation, but why else would a PC gaming magazine have that message?

The first we heard about it was on a German gaming review site I believe that talked about a recent JRPG that may be being ported to PC. They didn't say which game however, people just speculated it would be Dark Souls.

Good. I have plenty of buddies who'd love to play it but don't have consoles.

that game is better suited to consoles. I hate adventure games on PC, few things consoles do much better.

I agree, I just can't think of any way it would be easy to make the controls work as well on pc unless you were playing with a game controller, on keyboard and mouse I can't imagine it being very easy to map it out.

I'd say it probably is a PC port though, but it will be announced on the Dark Souls facebook page, but I hope that there will be some DLC, the game was too short I thought (even though you can spend hours in an area they just aren't all that big really).

the more I think about the possibility of it being DLC, the more stoked I get because I know they'll do it right. but I'm pretty sure it'll be a PC port.

I've never had a problem with third person games on PC.

Why is it that you think the controls would be hard to map? How many are there and how many do you actually use most of the time?

Here's the controls. I just can't think of any ways to make them work on keyboard and mouse and feel comfortable.

Hmm. I can see multiple ways to make it work..granted it won't be comfortable. What would be nice if they could do the camera movement with the mouse if they do a PC version.

In fact, it's pretty much inferior to a mouse + keyboard in every way. The only limitations on a mouse and keyboard are your sausage fingers fumbling around hamfistedly with the keys.

I agree entirely, but surely you agree there are still some games that it's useful to have a joypad for. Racing games for example - a joypad is much better than mouse and keyboard, particularly if you don't own a wheel.
