Of course this will be shit. The only decent remakes are more like 'copies' that attempt to recreate the original as closely as possible so that you get basically a reimagining of the film. All the goodness that made the original a classic is there however slightly bent and warped.

You change the technologies, the era, the soundtrack, the characters, the fucking plot and the whole thing falls apart as the fucking basis of the film, the script, was conceived with these things in mind at a certain point in time.

And let's face it, most movie producers and actors and writers are faggots (and I don't mean that in an exclusively homo way) these days. The shitfest of films that is released every year now is testamount to this.

It's fucking stupid to make a remake of this, let alone a PG 13 one with no Arnold. Fuck this. It makes me feel old as fuck too, and I loathe the day I start seeing remakes of Natural Born Killers, Falling Down and American History X. In fact I might just kill myself if I ever see that happen.
