Clicking jaw annoys others

I'm sure there are others here who have done martial arts to the point that they have fought competitively or sparred to a certain extent. We have all taken our hits. Or to just others who are just unlucky enough that they keep getting into fights. We have the crooked nose or the flat ears or the swollen fingers or that damn jaw that keeps locking up every time we eating something chewy and tough. My question is about the jaw.

So it doesn't lock up as much as it used to, but it does make a clicking sound. And most people don't mention it, but my girlfriend has. She says its annoying and kind of disgusting to hear it when I eat chewy, tough stuff. So now I am conscious about it when I eat around others. I want it to stop, not so much because it may bother other people, but because I can't stop thinking about whether or not it is bothering others. Like I don't want people to get disgusted when we are all eating around each other. has anyone found a way to get rid of the noise? Or found a way to strengthen their jaw muscles, so the jaw won't be loose enough to do that anymore?

I got it aswell, its clicking everytime i open and close my mouth, or move my jaw left and right.

You gotta learn to live with it i guess.

i reckon lots of gum would be the only way to strengthen jaw muscles.

but thats weird, ive never had any trouble with my jaw after sparring.
