Returning Items at Macys Questions

This is all hypothetical, but I have a couple questions about returning items at Macy's. If a person has "merchandise" that they want to return to Macy's for store credit to later on sell on PlasticJungle, I read somewhere that around on Zoklet that $100 worth in merchandise is the limit before it sets off flags. I read the Macy's website, and they don't have any set limit of returns per year, but has anyone had bad experience with returning at Macy's? How many times per month/year do you think a person can return "merchandise" before it raises red flags? How about those handy dandy ChiefID novelty ID's, anyone think that is a good investment? Again, this is all hypothetical and just to put in my book of wonders. Thanks.

The IDs aren't perfect, so it adds more risk.

You cannot return items to Macys without a receipt unless the item has POP label (Proof of Purchase) on the tag.

Not really. It's always best to use a fake id of another state than the one you live in but cashiers aren't id experts. They will type the info in and that will be it.

Can I get a little more info on these POP labels. The last return I did without a receipt, I don't know if it had a POP label or not, but I still was able to return it for store credit. Can I buy these POP labels somewhere or are they unique to each purchase, like printed when bought? What do they look like? Thanks for all the help .

I returned a 180-dollar coat (had to do lowest selling price- $120) without a receipt and return label with success. I insisted and refused to accept the store manager's "no". She was even bullshitting me about how she couldn't use my passport for ID because the system won't let her process the transaction without a state ID, but she eventually overrode the system anyway.
