Most Canadian weather isn't as bad as its made out to be. In northern canada... yup its pretty bad. Most Canadians live along the border though, so that's really not really an accurate representation. BC gets milder weather than ontario because of some shit with the ocean or mountains or something, and southern ontario (the part people live in) is actually closer to the equator than quite a few states - meaning that about 5 america states actually get worse weather than most Canadians experience. And they have a decent spring, a good summer, and an amazing fall. And the heart of winter isn't that bad either because of skiing (imo). So really the only months that really suck in canada are the start and ending of winter. Which probably amounts to like 20% of the year, meaning its more like 80% of canadian weather is pretty good. In terms of weather, I'd rather live in BC or Ontario than the UK.

I dunno what your degree system is and I don't care to look it up.

October is pretty awesome in southern ontario. November can be relatively warm or cold, depends on the year. December can be mild or harsh. January typically sucks. So does February. Then it starts getting good again.
